There's an election tomorrow? First I've heard of it... ;)

That's about the size of it. I just watched a pre-election show on KET,and they were talking about how pathetically low they were expecting the turnout to be. They said, for example, it might be under 10% in NKY.

You know, people are always complaining about their rights being violated. I just don't get why those same people don't excercize their right to vote.

Well, voter registration patterns in Kentucky have a lot to do with it. There are a LOT of people out there registered Independent or Democrat but would be identified by ideology or voting patterns as Republican. So they can't actually vote in the primary for their candidates. If I had a big research grant, I'd love to investigate this, as I have a hypothesis that Fletcher is a BIG beneficiary of this registration pattern.

Go Gatewood! He's the only one that comes out & tells it like it is.

Where's he from anyway??

Mars, I'm fairly certain.

My father once worked security for him, I hear he's a fun guy.:ylsuper:

By the way, that's not the reason I'm voting for him, becuase my mother just told me that after I posted I was a fan of his. I just thought he came out & told it like it was in his speakings & I'm a fan of that. Now whether or not he governs like that is another question & by "like that" I mean by doing things how they are supposed to be done & being a governor for the ENTIRE state. Unlikely to happen but boy wouldn't that be nice.

I saw Gatewood in a couple debates this year. He is a funny guy, and really brings the candidates back down to Earth. I think we should go ahead and finally vote him in, just to teach the politicos a lesson!

Gatewood is actually a very sensible and intelligent guy, his past stance on weed notwithstanding. Personally, I think he used that to get recognition early on, but it has become an albatross as time went on. I think that were he elected to whatever office, he'd do a good job.

2 or 3 nights ago, one of the news stations up here in NKY/Cincy indicated in the last primary election that was only for governorship, Pulaski County had more votes cast than all 3 counties of Kenton, Boone and Campbell combined.

That is pretty pitiful, NKY.

I guess I am going with Henry in the Democratic primary. He has a house out this way and his wife is from here. Although Richards seems to be a good man.

Any of the Democrats pro-life?
