May 22, 200719 yr 2 or 3 nights ago, one of the news stations up here in NKY/Cincy indicated in the last primary election that was only for governorship, Pulaski County had more votes cast than all 3 counties of Kenton, Boone and Campbell combined. That is pretty pitiful, NKY. I guess I am going with Henry in the Democratic primary. He has a house out this way and his wife is from here. Although Richards seems to be a good man. Any of the Democrats pro-life? I'll be placing my vote for Henry as well.:thumb:

May 22, 200719 yr Gatewood is actually a very sensible and intelligent guy, his past stance on weed notwithstanding. Personally, I think he used that to get recognition early on, but it has become an albatross as time went on. I think that were he elected to whatever office, he'd do a good job. As someone already said, at least he's honest. And that fact puts him on an island in the political arena. I like that about him.
May 22, 200719 yr I voted I held my nose and voted for the Dem for Governor that was the least repugnant to me, Jody Richards. Lunsford has Stumbo with him so that eliminates him from consideration... Beshear has Mongiardo ditto I've met Steve Henry, his personality (or lack there of) eliminates him Gatewood piques my interest but come on The Bullman (can you believe he had that on the ballott) is just a total joke so by process of elimination I voted for Richards. On a side note how many pre-recorded messages have people here recieved from candidates or people endorsing them. I got 5 last night including 2 from Joe B. Hall for 2 different candidates. This is ridiculous.

Put it on the ballot and let the people decide (since that would be one of the few things the people in Kentucky would get an actual vote on). I could have sworn from your comments in Public vs. Private you were all for majority rules.

I think it's a great reason. A governor holds influence, and that's important in moving an issue along. I look for expanded gaming to be on the ballot in '08 and passed soon after. I don't see why the whole issue wouldn't be settled during the time of this administration.

But I did hear from the 4 "major" candidates for governor as well as State Treasurer candidates and if I'm not mistakes Attorney General.
