Technically, I'm not sure that the sport is KHSAA-sanctioned yet, so it is a "club" team, but it is all CovCath kids, play and practice at CovCath, and have CovCath jerseys. The program was created 3 years ago, started by a group of now-graduating Seniors (Chris Crush, Kevin Gamm, and (former basketball player) Sam Cahill). In their first year playing a Varsity schedule (in Kentucky) they got to the state semi-finals.

I know it's growing in Cincy, I just didn't realize that it spread over here.

May 23, 200719 yr There are some schools in state such as Colorado, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Texas (in one of the private school associations) are some as the states that have either or both boys and/or girls lacrosse as officially state sponsored sports. All of this lacrosse talk is given me an idea for my new avatar.
May 23, 200719 yr They played 12 games that counted toward their record. Add to that 15 scrimmages, they take their lacrosse seriously at Trinity! (And I think it shows. ) Actually RM, Trinity played 19 games that counted (16-3), they were 12-0 in state. Walker Price injuried his spleen (??spelling) in that game so I hope everything works out for him. There was a huge crowd at the game. Walker was rushed to the ICU during the game & he left the hospital yesterday. May 24, 200719 yr Growing up in Maryland, it was unusual to find a school that didn't play lacrosse. Our lacrosse coach was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1964 (I graduated in 1973). It was pretty common to see lots of football players - particularly RBs, DBs and LBs - playing lacrosse in the spring. And the game has gotten more physical over the years.
