May 11, 200719 yr Did I miss an announcement or something? Isn't this supposed to be THE Friday pres conference? Or is it the 9th or 10th that's been postponed or delayed or rescheduled or recinded or recanted or whatever?
May 11, 200719 yr Did I miss an announcement or something? Isn't this supposed to be THE Friday pres conference? Or is it the 9th or 10th that's been postponed or delayed or rescheduled or recinded or recanted or whatever? Lucas has one set up for Monday, Patterson's will be Wednesday.
May 11, 200719 yr By the way something people forgets is Mayo was only their a year. Mayo wasn't that bad of a ball hog neither, he actualy helped take pressure off Patterson and get him open looks. He also took the media attention off of Patterson, which he liked not having it on him during the season, even though he is a hog for it afterwards. I tell you a guy from the Highlanders that gets overlooked and in my opinion is the most athletic player on that team, but due to not wise coaches, who dont like him he didn't play much. That is Chris Early, that kid is a player. He is fun to watch when he actualy got to play.

I dont believe Huntington has ever been accused of being coached that great, but I wouldnt give their coach all the blame for Early. That kid has an awful attitude. I know the coach deserves some blame for not straightening him out, but he definitly had some issues.
May 11, 200719 yr What happens if Lucas and Patterson both commit to Kentucky, but fail to produce when they get here and become "old flames?" Will there be a little bit of bitterness in the Kentucky fans that follow the recruiting because they have carried this on for so long? The answer to this question would be very simple :sssh: ..............It would be Tubby's fault.
May 11, 200719 yr It'll be Tubby's fault... UKMustang I didn't see your post before I made mine or I would had just quoted you, I just couldn't resist when I read the title of the thread .

Imagine if neither has any impact whatsoever and just become a - no offense - Sheray Thomas and Brandon Stockton? Will there be a little bit of bitterness in the Kentucky fans that follow the recruiting because they have carried this on for so long? It won't.
May 11, 200719 yr UKMustang I didn't see your post before I made mine or I would had just quoted you, I just couldn't resist when I read the title of the thread . You had better read post #11. According to some it is not funny any more.
May 11, 200719 yr You had better read post #11. According to some it is not funny any more. I read that and I realize that. I guess is about the same as when some were calling for an end to all the Tubby bashing during the season and it continued. I was just joking around and couldn't resist it. Maybe the bashers will know how stupid it sounds now  .
May 11, 200719 yr I would rather take my chances with McDonald's All-Americans rather than Joe Blows.......... We had 3. With Rondo and Morris in the NBA, only Crawford is left. Sometimes they don't produce as well as you would like. However, based on most of the opinions I have seen on here, we should have dropped one of those MCD AAs to take Lofton and everybody should have know that.

Man, that Lofton thing has long ago gotten old...and, for the gazillionth time, no, we shouldn't have known... UK took the players more highly ranked by ALL the experts... A quick ? ... Are the NBA prognosticators wrong too? They sure don't think he would go very high, if at all, in the draft, had he come out... In hindsight, he may well turn out better than Bradley or Crawford, but, thats yet to be determined.. Its not beyond the realm of possibility, that RB and JC could well have a longer and better career than CL, after there college days, be it in the4 NBA, Europe or wherever else they may end up...

And Early does have some issues, but I mean he plays Mayo, and they arent much difference between the two. Early stayed in less trouble than Mayo probably, you sound like you know the situation pretty well also, but basicaly it just comes down to the coach not liking Early. Id be willing to bet a ton of money Huntington has a new coach next year. But I didn't (well I did) but Im sorry for Hijacking the thread.
May 12, 200719 yr Hmmm. Big name prospects who fail to produce. Would it be any different than what we've experienced the last few years?
