May 11, 200719 yr What happens if Lucas and Patterson both commit to Kentucky, but fail to produce when they get here and become "old flames?" Imagine if neither has any impact whatsoever and just become a - no offense - Sheray Thomas and Brandon Stockton? Will there be a little bit of bitterness in the Kentucky fans that follow the recruiting because they have carried this on for so long?
May 11, 200719 yr Yes... But you get the best players you can at the time so there is no second guessing it.
May 11, 200719 yr Yes... But you get the best players you can at the time so there is no second guessing it. I agree...But these two are bringing a LOT of pressure to produce with them, simply by the fact that they have waited so long to decide. No matter where they go,if they don't produce, they are going to be looked at as overrated. I do agree,however..you get the best players you can and go with them!
May 11, 200719 yr That's what I said all along. God help them if they don't pan out after all of this, no matter where they go. If you're going to talk the talk, you had better walk the walk.

May 11, 200719 yr Ive seen Patterson alot in my day, and he will produce ok like I said before bout 10 points, but he has great speed on D and a good shotblocker and rebounder, and a smart guy. But if people is expecting a big man to come to college as a freshman and be a star right away they will be disapointed, very few big men shine early.
May 11, 200719 yr Let's see if we even get even one of them before we even have this discussion. And if you do wan't to get technical about this thread, theres not ever been too many burger boy's who "don't produce." I mean some may underachieve, but to say not produce, then that is rare for an AA. :thumb: And definately cannot compare Jai Lucas to Brandon Stockton, Lucas has a lot of offense in his game and he showed that throughout this year against quality competition, and in the AA game. Same for Patterson. He can score in bunches, its just when you play on the OJ Mayo Highlanders, you pretty much have to make your offense yourself. Patterson too showed in the AA game and in numerous camps he has played in that he isn't just a defender.
May 11, 200719 yr It'll be Tubby's fault... You may be joking, but I would bet there are some that will think that.
May 11, 200719 yr  You may be joking, but I would bet there are some that will think that. I highly doubt that. The Tubby talk should end unless it concerns him and Minnesota. We get it about certain fans blaming Tubby for everything but most of it isn't funny anymore. Come on now, let Tubby go!:thumb:

Come on now, let Tubby go!:thumb: Just replying to another posters comments. I didn't bring him up. The Tubby talk never ended with the bashers why should it end now. I do believe he recruited these players, so I don't think I am off subject. Seems to me that there are some in this thread that thought it was funny. Have a great weekend and don't let our laughing get to you life is to short.
May 11, 200719 yr I would rather take my chances with McDonald's All-Americans rather than Joe Blows..........
