This is not a genre I know much about. However, there is a group of men from Covington whose name escapes me that are outstanding.

I like a lot of them. Too many to name, but a few would be:

Micheal W. Smith

Third Day

Newsboys

Newsong

Avalon

Phillips, Craig & Dean

Nicole C. Mullin

The Issacs

Mercy Me

Audio Adrenaline! Saw them with MercyMe in Lexington Saturday night it was an awesome show. It's a shame they have to hang it up.

I also like Dave Crowder Band, Family Force 5, Kutless, Switchfoot, and the aforementioned MercyMe. I miss dcTalk, because as solo artists, they pretty much suck (IMHO) but together they made some music that impacted me. "What if I Stumble?" is the song I was listening to when I made my choice follow God and get baptized.

The Showdown and Demon Hunter.

The only Christian group that I follow is Underoath, and they are hardly considered to be a Christian band anymore.

Collective Soul.

Kutless, Mercyme, thousand foot krutch, Micheal W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, Building 429, Todd Agnew, Jeremy Camp, Third Day, and Seventh Day Slumber.

Third Day, Rich Mullins, Phillips Craig and Dean, Mark Schmidt, Geoff Moore and the Distance.

Building 429, Burlap to Cashmere, Caedmon's Call, Derek Webb

I wouldn't consider "The Polyphonic Spree" as a church or christian group, BUT you listen to their lyrics and what they promote in their music, you could certainly see it that way.

With that said, they are one of my favorite bands, which is odd considering some of the REALLY strange music I'm into. lol

^Along the same lines, I really like Evanesence.

Mercy Me, Third Day, BarlowGirl

Don't forget Casting Crowns. One of the very best groups out there. Call my cellphone and you will Lifesong and I will hear Does Anyone Hear Her. That song for me to make sure I keep my focus on outreach.

I also like Jeremy Camp and DCtalk

Mercy Me!
