Gillispie to run Louisville out of the state?

Featured Replies

Greg Doyel thinks so...

Five best hires

Billy Gillispie, Kentucky: Not just a home run, this was a walk-off grand slam. In all of college basketball, and this includes that cute little bugger down there at Florida, Gillispie was the perfect hire for Kentucky. By the time he's done running Louisville out of the state, the Cardinals will be getting their mail in Missouri.

This one should get a few people going!

U.K. has ran U.L. out of the state a long time ago, to most U.L. was never "in" the state. :sssh: :D

Louisville's alumni base has expanded all over the Commonwealth, particularly in Western and Northern Kentucky.

The University of Louisville currently has a student enrolled from every county in Kentucky, for the first time ever.

U of L currently has more students enrolled from outside of Jefferson County than from within.

I'm really going to be interested in what the reaction on this is from all the UK fans... especially considering they have to know that someone is going to bring up their past (highly negative) opinions of Doyel's work. His Hate Mail column is rife with UK fans.

UL may have expanded it's alumni base, but, that doesn't mean those Alum don't still root for UK...My daughter went to UL, but, she still bleeds blue and roots for the Cats against anyone they play..

I know a girl who's a grad student working with the athletes at UofL. HUGE HUGE HUGE UK fan.

I never talk bad about Doyel... He calls it like he sees it...

I don't care for Doyle myself, but, I think he's right on with the BCG hire. I don't agree that he'll run UL out of the state...He'll definately hurt there recruiting in state, but, I suspect Pitino will survive and be just fine...

While on the subject, I was driving through Louisville Sunday and I saw Indiana Wesleyan... And it got me a little upset... And i decided that I was going to redo the United States map and give certain cities to other states... I think I'll do that when I get home tonight... I'm bringing Australia over to Rhode Island too... Just because.

I don't care for him either and have said so many times on here. I just thought that his article/comment wa sfunny and would send a few in orbit! Looks like it may be doing just that. :D

Just curious, to whom? I don't see any of that going on?

You are correct in that there have been many opinions stated about the work of Doyle. However, anytime he writes a negative involving the Louisville program most Uk fans will take advantage of the situation just as the UL faithful would do if the role was reversed. UK normally gets the blunt of the negative press on this web-site, so it is good to see a little spin in the other direction every once in awhile.

I wasn't talking about you Deuce. Just a couple of other little comments and anticipating ones to come. (just having some fun :D )
