When a KY teams plays an out of state team...

do you always root for the KY team? If not, why not?

For the record I ALWAYS root for a KY high school football team over any out of state team.

I always root for the teams from Kentucky over out of state teams. Mainly because surrounding states do not see Kentucky as a football state.

Always. I respect Ohio football, but despise the arrogance that comes with it. Therefore, every time a KY team plays an Ohio team, I hope against hope that KY will win.

I 2nd that, and would also like to add that I am partial to every KY born player at the college and pro levels.

 

Example, I know there are many on here who know Brian Brohm fairly well, and even though I don't it pleases me to see a Kentuckian accomplish the things he has accomplished.

 

The same goes for Shaun Alexander, unless he thinks NKY is part of Cincinnati.

Of course you know I was kidding, but that stems from a few of my NKY friends in college constantly telling people they were from Cincinnati as opposed to Covington, Newport, Florence, etc.

 

A little fun at their expense since I don't think any of them are on here.

Most of the time I pull for KY schools but In the past I have pulled for some of my local out of state schools when they've played against teams In Kentucky.

 

Usually only Thomas Walker (VA) or Cumberland Gap (TN).
