CCH and HHS fans only:

Featured Replies

There is only one thing worst than a Cov. Cath. fan trying to stir things up and thats a Beechwood fan trying to stir things up between Highlands and Cov. Cath!!! That being said I still root for both when playing teams outside of NKY.

The older I get the more ambivalent I become about HHS. Therefore, if they aren't playing CovCath, I typically am okay with them winning.

If they are playing an Ohio team, I'm definitely pulling for HHS. In the state playoffs I typically root for the other team because the separation in State Titles is already big enough.

While I can acknowledge the fact that Highlands has a phenomenal football program, I root strongly against them in all contests. The one exception is if they are playing a GCL school...in which case I root for a scoreless tie.

Let it go, my brother.

I respect the hell out of the program. However, I have no rooting interest one way or the other unless it somehow affects CCH. I don't root for them. I don't root against them.

Well obviously I will always root for Highlands when playing Cov. Cath. Go figure. However, I would definately root for Cov. Cath. or anyother Kentucky school playing a GCL team.

Now all I can say for Cov. Caths. march thru the playoffs and on to state in 2006 is, I kinda had the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other arguing. You know, go colonels, no lose Cov. Cath., no go Colonels, no go Lex. Cath. , no win colonels, no win Bowling Green. Needless to say I was a little conflicted.

I root against them, no matter who they are playing. I especially root against them when they play a team that CovCath lost to, because I can't stand the comparisons.

I know it's hard to be compared to the best.........

In football, I will root for The Team from Ft. Thomas when they play anybody but CovCath. They have earned my respect.

Basketball, I will root against HHS no matter who they play. For far too many years they have played a football style basketball game, and I dislike that style of play.

Baseball, the little birdies? I just feel sorry for them.....

I know it's hard to be compared to the best.........

Exactly what I was talking about............... :D :D

For the record, from my experiences, A LOT of CovCath fans can not stand Dale Mueller, me being one of them.

I'm sure he doesn't lose any sleep over it.

I would love to see them get beat every game..........:D

Same here:thumb:

He wouldn't but that is called arrogance, common trait in Fort Thomas, not saying that Cov Cath is perfect but it seems that Fort Thomas talks up their Highschool sports a little much, especially when they didn't beat their archrival (Cov Cath), in anything this year except one bowling match (Cov Cath won the other 2 matches this bowling season)

And what has he done to deserve that beside beat the team you support more often than not??? I really hope there is more behind your dislike than simply that?

I typically will root for Cov Catholic when playing any other team outside of NKY. However, comments like those(and the rest of the A LOT of the Cov Cath fans you speak of) may make some of the rational HHS fans, and myself, rethink their support of CCH at all...:irked:

 theguru asks for honest opinions, which I give, then get insulted for it.

Maybe it's his (IMO) overzealous support of his players, often to the point of overdoing it. But just like I am, he is entitled to his opinion, and as are you, as I'm sure I will hear for criticizing a coach for caring for his players.

BTW, is it rational to let one BGP posters comment get you to rethink your position?
