June 29, 200719 yr Is it too much to ask to have your pitchers be able to bunt? Shoot, if you could have replaced Brantley's clip with my rant, his would have seemed mild. It's not a difficult thing to do, it takes practice, and obviously, very few Reds pitchers practice bunting, which starts with,,,,,bunt strikes. No one can consistently bunt a pitch above the letters,,,,no one. I defineltly agree with JB. The best duo is when he and Thom get together on a broadcast. They don't pull any punches when it comes to poor play. I'd actually like to see more of this in the paper. The only way you'd realize the Reds blight this season is to read the standings. They haven't found a way to sugarcoat that yet.

June 29, 200719 yr I would think there had to have been an issue behind closed doors that we haven't heard about. He was one of the most reliable guys out of the pen all year and I'm sure leads the team in appearances. I'm sure we will hear something soon.

June 29, 200719 yr Why DFA Santos? Santos was borderline to even make the ballclub out of spring training. He's struggled in the long-relief role and blown two games in extra innings when called upon recently. He's not going to fetch a prospect or the famous player-to-be-named-later if he was traded, so cut him loose. BTW: Will we ever see Kirk Saarloos again or is just going to stay in Louisville give their pitching coach fits?
June 29, 200719 yr Grande is pathetic :irked: . We have to hear "Bucco's" every 3 seconds when we play Pittsburgh and even more annoying (or as least as annoying) is we hear "Cowboy" out of Grande every breath when Brantley broadcast with him. Hello radio and Marty.....................again!
