Maybe, but what was Cleveland's record last year? This year? Milwaukee?

 

Can this team win more games with an outfield of Hamilton, Freel, and Hopper than an outfield with Dunn? Everyone says the Reds should have traded Griffey a few years back when he had some value. He has some value now but likely won't be moved. Is Dunn headed down the same path in terms of trade value? Why haven't the Reds moved Hatteberg and inserted Votto at first? The Yankees, Giants, and Orioles need a solid hitting first baseman.

 

Everyone applauded Krivsky last year because he didn't accept the status quo. He went out and made some trades they needed (Arroyo and Phillips) to make their lineup better. Why no moves this year except for the Cincinnati to Louisville shuttle? Was he lucky last year? Are there no deals to be made? Are the Reds really going to get better with players from Louisville?

 

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Playing with the current roster every day and expecting to win is pretty close to fitting the bill of the insanity definition.

Why should the fans have the solutions? We're not paid to have solutions. We're fans. We pay the freight. We complain when we want - sometimes we're right - sometimes we're wrong.

 

Public pressure, rightly or wrongly, has always played into decisions made by ownership as to making changes at the helm. Krivsky is on a short leash - not by the fans - by Big Bob . If he wants to go down with a sinking ship acting like the captain who just the iceberg but is saying "stay the course" , he can do that. The ship is still sinking and its HIS job to not only keep it afloat but not make bad decisions on how to get it to land.

 

Its why he gets paid more than you do. High risk - high reward.

It's unrealistic to even dream of so many things going wrong at the worst time. No mistake is left unturned as they drop game after game. The 2 or 3 a night always end up sinking the ship.

 

How about some stability to develop the accountability a team needs. They suck. Stick with 25 guys and finish this thing out. Sell what you can in July and August at a solid market value. Make a serious run at a name manager in the off season.

 

Time to face it. There is nothing that can be done to make the playoffs. It's over. No amount of change makes it better...
