June 7, 200719 yr Yup... I think though you need to be somewhat concerned that Narron has burned Arroyo up. 3 straight starts in May, with pitch counts of 117, 120 and 129. Since those three, he has been not so good.

June 7, 200719 yr Author The Reds are 1-5 this year when Arroyo throws more than 100 pitches, not counting tonight. They were 20-12 last year when he threw over 100 pitches. Last year, he threw over 100 pitches in 32 of 35 starts. This year, 7 of 13 counting tonight. Since, as a whole, they are losing a ton more this year, this is a shocking stat. Right up there with worst in the NL with RISP...

June 7, 200719 yr I think it lends credence to arguement that Narron gave Arroyo the Dusty Baker treatment last year. 32 of 35 starts over 100 pitches. In Boston in 2005, 20 of 32 over 100. In 2004, 10 of 29 starts over 100 pitches
