You have your hottest hitter at the plate, likely is going to make contact and you run yourself out of the inning. YES, I understand you want to put two guys in scoring position with a base hit, but no need to take a risk like that with your best hitter up at the plate. :thumb: :thumb: Brilliant stategy! JMO

Again, someone defend 17-27 ( 44 is when Tony was let go) and 2-7 on the last road trip. Please just lose this series to the nats and solidify your position as worst team in baseball. Let us fans know exactly what you are Reds, a farce that we should not be spending our time or hard earned money on. Mr. Castilini, please quit lying to us about putting a winner on the field, nothing is different than when "Uncle Carl" owned the team except we knew he didn't care about winning.

There was a dicussion about that on another Reds board. After the Padres game when the winning run was walked in, everyone on that board was upset that Narron didn't go out to argue, just walked into the clubhouse. Defend your pitcher, your team, go out and say SOMETHING, even if it was a ball. He just doesn't seem to care. Just add that to the list of problems this team has.

May 21, 200719 yr Narron's dry and bland outlook on the game carries over to his players. Many mind boggling little things... 1) We hold the ball in the OF, allow a base--little league 2) Team can NOT for the life of them consistently bunt 3) Well, when we do bunt, we get JACKED up off of 2nd base 4) Griffey is hitting well this year, however when will he leg out or run hard on ground ball to right field? Will he get a double if hit off wall, JUNIOR leads MLB in most "long singles" category 5) Bullpen is terrible but now starting pitching is becoming BP for opposing teams. 6) Narron can't decide on a lineup 7) Narron can't argue 8) Narron has no fire in belly. 9) Reds free swing on counts they shouldn't be swinging. Reds must get 3 out of 4 vs. Nats. A split is disappointment...lose the series and they lose the fans for the year. Of course a 4 game sweep would be a start, but no matter how bad Nats are...we just ain't much better. Would like to see a good brawl...maybe what they need...Narron might run to club house though...
