Little to no chance of that at this point...

You were saying?

Edwin Encarnacion has been optioned to Louisville and the Reds called up Jeff Keppinger.

I don't know if this will help but as of now it can't hurt. E5 is doing nothing at the plate or in the field.

I've said it here before, and I think most people thought I was an idiot, but I say Homer becomes our closer. We don't have a closer, and his stuff is more consistent with that of a closer right now. I think he would really struggle in a starters role. Saarloos will fit in fine in the 5th spot. He has starter stuff.

We need a CG from our ace today to stop the bleeding!!!!!!

old saying my mamaw had, to get the donkey's attention sometimes you have to knock him across the nose with a 2 by 4. Maybe E-5 is not doing the things they want him to do and this is a smack.

Wayne said Eddie was initially shocked, but left knowing that it was a chance for him to get better.

How so WK? By playing every day? He was already there. By making fewer mistakes because of less pressure? What's the point if it's back to the same when the stakes go back up? A much smarter move would have been to give him a week off and put Freel at 3B. Sending him down is not a good move at all IMO...

Won't be the same stakes. They will be 25 games out by the time he comes back.:D

I agree....I'm not happy with Edwin's production, but this is not the way to do it.

Might as well trade him at this point...

Freel 3b

Hatteberg 1b

Griffey rf

Phillips 2b

Dunn lf

Hamilton cf

Castro ss

Ross c

Harang p

I was going to head over to the game, but after the E-5 move I'm going to take a nap and watch some golf...

That is funny that E-5 was initially shocked. lol

You mean poor defense, poor hitting and a lack of hustle is not something you guys want on the everyday roster???

I do agree though, he will likely have to be called back up and he won't sit on the bench, so you either trade him or you are stuck with him.
