Track The Reds...

This may be a little scary but he's their best right handed hitting threat.

That would be very scary (if true).:thumb:

All players are not treated equally, nor should they be...

No, but if you bench a guy for not hustling everyone else should have to hustle.

I agree, to a point. If you have someone who obviously is a mental midget you need to send a message. As much as it ticks me off that Griffey jogs to first, he's earned it as a ballplayer. He's not jogging to first because he's ticked off that he hit a slow roller and showing an attitude. EE was, that needed to be dealt with immediately or he'd never get out of it. You could have a Steve Sax on your hands...

Again, don't get me wrong I HATE the loafing...

Dunn triples to center. Wow. 7 bases in two ab's. Two triples in a week. What is going on down there?

Junior goes deep too....nice.

warning track power.:sssh: ;):p

sorry, couldn't resist after that dunn being the best defensive corner outfielder slam on Jr.

Don't forget isn't he still leading the team in steals?

I didn't see it...did it scrape the fence (as usual)? :D Hey, Junior is hammering the ball right now, no one wants him to stay hot more than I do.

I guess you're on the record that Norris Hopper is the biggest threat.:D

No, I think Freel has him 7-6 right now. However, Freel has been caught about 3 or 4 times and El Grande Burro is perfect in his 6 attempts. :walk:

Umm.......no. Phillips is a better offensive player than Eddie, so I'll go there.:D

I knew where you were going, and I was just joking. Phillips IMO is a pretty good number 2 hitter. I don't like him 3-5, but that's just me. I think EE could be a consistent 4-5 hitter if given the opportunity. Maybe next year he could play 1st so he doesn't have to throw the ball when he is fortunate enough to field it.

Does that make EE the 2nd best in your opinion?

Something has to be done there...

I don't think he'll be here next year -- I think he'll be in the AL. I guess he is second, although many would take Freel over him as an all-around offensive player.

From an ESPN chat today........

John, Cincy: Edwin Encarnacion to AAA. What are my Reds doing? First the awful Kearns/Lopez trade and now this. At least Phillips and Hamilton have been amazing consider how cheap we got them.

Keith Law: (1:42 PM ET ) What they're doing is mismanaging one of their most valuable hitting assets. This is just how the team mishandled Kearns, and the sad thing was that that was a different front office. I do think Encarnacion needs to be an outfielder though (that's for matt in cincy, who asked about Encarnacion's D).
