Ok, but Dunn has throughout his career been one of the worst, if not the worst OF in all of baseball. I'm just saying that when he went a month in the biggest part of the year last year w/o hitting a HR or driving in 5 runs he wasn't benched or demoted.

He is a proven commodity that has averaged over 40 a year for 3 years. Eddie hasn't proven anything, other than he boots nearly 1/10 of the balls hit to him -- a staggering number. C. I'd only be half surprised if Eddie never wore a Reds' uni again. I think, as GT (tongue-in-cheek) alluded to, I'm sure they are trying to trade him to the AL for bully help.

Dante Bichette, is, was, will always be the worst outfielder I've ever actually witnessed with my own eyeballs, Dunner ain't in the same category.

It's a little less than 1 out of 10, but it's still horrible. Some good hitters have struggled fielding early in their careers and later have improved to be pretty good defensive players.(I'm aware that his struggles are monumental) I still contend that if these guys had an idea that they would be in the lineup and what spot they would be hitting it would be easier than coming to the park wondering if they are going to play and then where they will hit between 1-7. One more thing. I'm not saying this happened, but could Narron's taking him out of the lineup had the oppposite effect of what he was trying to accomplish? Later in the week it was obvious that BP didn't hustle out of the box and baseball guy said well at least he got to the base he was supposed to, and Griffey still hasn't hustled since then. Could he have lost him?

May 10, 200719 yr No question; I'm not throwing a pity party for #44...believe me. Horrible. A small factor, maybe, but you have to at least (the very least) make the routine ones. Quite possibly back-fired...yes. Hard to say, but Narron certainly hasn't enforced that policy since then with higher profile players.

Heck, that diving play in the alley with the sacks filled a week or so ago never would have happened in the past. Gold glove? No. Not close. However, not horrible. In fact, he has been the best defensive corner outfielder we have so far this year. Scary but true. Watch him drop a fly ball today to blow this up.

He's been a lot better this year, but during all of the other years he hasn't been good. He at no time has had to deal w/ what EE has. I also understand that he's a better offensive player, but EE should have been allowed to start when healthy as much as Dunn was. This may be a little scary but he's their best right handed hitting threat.
