Now that I think of him, I would put Victor Moses ahead of Slone, too.

Does that make me a Lexington homer, too?

Hey if I can get you to give credit to anyone outside of Western Ky then I have done a good job!:walk:

I basically don't like the fact that you spend most of your time being specticle of kids rather than saying encouraging things about kids.

LMB, do you really think Slone is a Mr. Basketball candidate? I know I sure dont. It's basically down to Miller and Mackey, with Hopson having a chance if he wakes up. You are really going out of your way on this one...

It will be one of these two, imo. Both players should be at Rupp next March. Whichever performs the best will be Mr. Basketball.

Its interesting to look back at which seniors were ranked the highest this year in preseason. The rankings were by the state's head coaches. It looks like for the most part the coaches did an OK job. A few moved up and a few moved down.

1. Pettigrew- E'town

2. Proffitt- South Laurel

3. Brooks- Doss

4. Walls- Scott Co

5. Beckham- Ballard

6. Anderson- Warren Central

7. Coleman- J'town

8. Knowles- Clark Co

9. VanHoose- Russell

10. Beaumont- Male

11. Clemons- Ohio Co

12. Frailex- Caldwell Co

13. Daniel- Rowan Co

14. Anderson- Doss

15. Benock- Meade Co

16. Hammonds- South Laurel

17. Hill- Holmes

Have you looked at the 11th region for next year? Except for Walls, Warren and Jones all the best players will be back next year. It will be an accomplishment for Mackey to get back to Rupp. SC will be as good as any team in the state but so will Bryan Station, Lexington Catholic, & Henry Clay. Tates Creek and Madison Central will also be top 10 or top 15 teams next year.

"Specticle?"

Do you mean "skeptical?"

I call it being realistic ...

Believe me ... you didn't get me to give Moses any credit. The kid is a very good player. Geography means little to me.

I have know westsider a long time and he calls them like he sees them...and he has seen most or all the players in the state. I for one value his opinion. don't always agree...but value it none the less...:thumb:

I understand he has very little shot. I have seen both him and Edmondson play and I really cant put him ahead of Slone either. Also, anyone who did not think Victor Moses is a great high school player don't know much about whats going on. Its like saying Kevin Durant is a very good college player. Its an obvious statement.

Hopson is still getting a lot of love from Rivals.

Why "Lady Bear Mom" do you get on here and ALWAYS put Mason County Down. I don't think that was Bracken County who beat the Royals in the Regional finals, so how can you say anything at all??? The Polar Bears varsity couldn't stay within 30 points of the Royals with the starters long gone by mid-way 3rd quarter.

Hopson is still getting a lot of love from Rivals.

I have also seen Hopson get some negative things said about him lately on the AAU circuit. Its been a mixed review with him recently. It will be interesting to see who they get as their new coach. Maybe the right person will turn Hopson around.

Right now its Mackey and Miller at the front.

How does the rivals system work anyway? They have Darius Miller as a 4 star prospect while Hopspon is a 5 star prospect while everyone knows Miller is a much better player.

The rankings system is based on potential. Hopson's status skyrocketed last summer when he showed how talented he was. There is no denying that his talent is through the roof. But his effort is and desire to win is lacking compared to Miller and Mackey.

As for great players next year here is some names to throw out there:

Miller

Mackey

Hopson

Mack

Henderson

Morris

Stepp

Slone

What names am I leaving out?
