Nice post, it's hard to compare anyone to Miller IMO. I wouldn't even go as far as to compare Mackey to him. He's that much better than everyone else in his class IMHO. Mackey would be second on my list however.

 

I disagree! I think both are great players and they are both different. I dont believe either have really seperated themself from each other. I have seen both play numerous times and both have unbelievable potential!

That is a pretty crazy remark if you ask me! It wasnt like Miller dominated the state this year. He is a great player, but Bud Mackey is right there with him. And what if the lightbulb goes off for Hopson?

Potential is the Key word when talking about Hopson. He could be better than Miller but he is not at this point. He kind of reminds me of Dante Smith from Oldham County a few years ago who plays(ed) in the NBA he has that kind of potential, wheather he'll live up to it or not is up to him, maybe he'll grow up a little with age.

My opinion!! Having seen both Miller and Hopson several times, they are in different leagues. I'm sure someone will challenge him next year for this honor, but I'd say the quality of college coaches that are calling in Maysville speaks volumes. Hopson is a very athletic kid, but doesn't have Miller's basketball skills or most importantly--His heart!!

I thought Hopson had pretty good skills, basically as good as Miller, but I totally agree with you on the heart. But Hopson isn't Miller's main competition. Its Mackey. Mackey has a Sweet 16 MVP under his belt and is a great talent.

In my opinion, Brown is the better player. And he has a nice Sweet 16 resume from his sophomore year.

I agree with 5 in this group however the most overrated player in the class of 08" since his freshman year is Slone. He is a really good player but no where near the top 6. I feel expectations like this have hurt him over the years. That & the fact of how his team has so much termoil

You forget that Mackey has already commited to indiana, which has stopped alot of colleges coming from Maysville to Georgetown.
