March 27, 200719 yr Andy Katz is almost never right. He throws enough theories out that eventually one of them is bound to hit. I read yesterday a article by one of the Orlando Sentinal sports guys I think that said UK might be more desirable for the Donnavan family and it cited some ties to Kentucky, cant recall them all but they were married in Lex, his wife reportedly loves Lex, his daughter is big into equine. Point being I think Katz and possibly the guy who wrote the article I read were both speculating. The biggest thing I am getting from all this is that the timming of the UK leak was strange, strange to the point that it makes me think Billy is likely using UK to get his $ up with FL
March 27, 200719 yr Billy Donovan is a family man! No chance he gives up his Florida job to hit the road for the nomadic lifestyle of an NBA coach! Plus, he will be paid NBA-like money to coach the Gators. His legacy will be the Adolph Rupp of Florida basketball.

March 27, 200719 yr Miami Heat would be a great gig, just like the Kentucky job would..As far as money, UK reportedly is offering 3.7 M a year x 7 yrs to Miami's 3M a year for 5 yrs, so, if this is true, Uk still has the best offer out there.. Someone mentioned Billy D pimping himself to get a big contract out of Florida....To me, that's ridiculous.... I believe UK and Miami both came calling to him and as good as these opportunities are, you're gonna listen and would be a fool not too....I would call it, weighing your options, which, anyone of us would do when an opportunity arose...
