This kid may be a great ballplayer and by all accounts he is, but how many of you see, "A shooting outside of a stripclub", in his future?

I really don't see the big deal in all of this. He has the power to go anywhere he wants to for whatever reasons he wants to and he is doing it. He could go to a powerhouse and basically assure himself a championship but he wants to help jump start a program and get publicity at the same time. USC/Los Angeles is the perfect opportunity for him.

 

This has got nothing to do with wanting to jump start a program. While USC is a high profile program it is not a college basketball jugernaut and he knew he could go there and run the program for a year. He will be in the national limelight and look like a superstar among so-so ball players. No way does Tubby or Coach K aggree to his terms and he knows that. This kid has been treated like an adult since the 6th grade and, while he handles most of it fairly well, for the most part he is out of control. I wish him the best and he doesn't need my approval but I hope it doesn't all catch up with him. He needed some major adult guidance a long time ago.

Wonder if he will get OJ's cell phone number once he actually begins as a student on USC campus?

I can't say anything that everyone here hasn't already said. Just hilarious how much control he has and someone said it perfectly, no way he would get away with this at a school with a built in head coach. Coach K, Roy Williams, etc.

I just don't think that he is as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Is he a perfect angel? No. And what are 'his terms'? I think he has done pretty well given the circumstances he has been in all of his life. Is he mostly handling it well or mostly out of control in your opinion?

Everything is about dollars and cents nowadays. I am just disappointed that now it has infected the college game to the point to where the players have more power than the coaches. I know the NBA was like that but I never would have thought it from the college level.
