March 22, 200719 yr Floyd has two choices: 1) Take OJ and the circus that will follow. Keep in mind that the "circus" may not be OJ's fault but nonetheless, it's a circus. 2) Find a new job... Floyd admits to not having the background to recruit the #1 player in the country and did the right thing by bringing in Pete Carroll to seal the deal. Bet your behind that Carroll is currently "coaching" up Floyd on how to deal with these type of players. College coaches are A LOT smarter than you guys give them credit for. "Selling your soul" at the college ranks is nothing new, and it will be that way for a long time.

I just think that he is a player with a ridiculous amount of talent that will always have problems surrounding him because of his status, regardless of whether or not it's his fault. People will love to hate this kid for years to come and others will love to love him.

March 22, 200719 yr I do to. He will win the player or the year award, get drafter 2nd overall and make millions. I also think that he is much more of a Kobe clone than Artest. Not that part. The part where after he leaves, "grandpa" and "uncle" get USC investigated. By clone I meant the trouble part that Artest is going through, not the game. You could throw Kobe in there too.

March 22, 200719 yr It's kind of like Manny will be Manny. OJ will be OJ. Do I think it's right of his comments? Absolutely not, but if I'm Floyd and I know OJ coming can bring a couple more high profile players as well, then have it. IMO OJ just needs a wake up call. US fans have given this kid so much hype his head is huge. I found the story pretty interesting but It all just seems kind of shady. Oj is undoubtedly the top player in the country...but he needs to learn to be more humble. People respect you alot more. Sure he has all the talent, but it's work ethic he's lacking which will show when he TRIES to go to the NBA. There's no way people should have been comparing him to Lebron after his sophomoe year. Not even close.
