If feel sorry for Coach Floyd because I really think he is in a catch 22. How do you turn down the #1 player in the country? You can't, but as crimedoc said, it is going to come at a great cost and I don't think there is any question about who is in control.

You sell your soul what do you do as a coach when that bill comes due and he wants to start making decisions for the program?

Wonder if his marketing plan stands in contrast to practice (remember we are talking about practice here. Practice? It's just practice), which wins out?

Especially when OJ says to him "Don't do your job (recruiting), I'll do it for you."

If OJ can do it better (and Floyd will be the first to admit that) why not tell him, 'knock yourself out.'

It will be interesting to see how the control issue plays out. The returning Trojan players have to read this and know that OJ will run the show from Day 1. So when they're on the court, do they listen to Coach? Or do they listen to OJ? With whom do you cast your lots?

I think the article sheds a little light on why OJ didn't go to a schools such as Duke, UK, or UNC. This kid apparantly isn't used to anyone telling him what to do. Can you see Coach K allowing anybody to be bigger than the program.
