I was presenting information to the point made earlier that it is a late night cartoon ran at 10:00 PM. That information was wrong and I just posted the 9:00 to inform everyone that it is broadcast earlier than a late-night time.

What time does the adult cartoons on the Cartoon Network come on? I was unaware of them and will research it as the cartoon network is one network I allow my son to watch.

 

It's called the Adult Swim. I'm not sure what time they come on though. Although I'm quite sure they don't play the re-runs during the day like Comedy Central.

I guess the anti South Park group didn't catch the show tonight. I'd say they would have ruffled a few more feathers tonight than last weeks show about a word.

I was shocked at the beginning with Butters and Cartman....It was hilarious though.:lol:

I thought it was pretty lame, but I wasn't offended. It was an interesting look at discrimination. Also, it was intended as satire. The NYC banning of the famous racial slur is pretty weak IMO and South Park made it look even weaker.

 

Agreed, the funny thing is we were on spring break when this came on and we'd just been talking about them banning the word. Then that came on and they all actually understood the political aspects of the show as well.

 

As for the show my friends all love it, I'm not a big fan, but when they watch it and I'm around I do usually tend to laugh.

Basically Cartman blindfolded Butters and Butters dad walked in on him being "bi-curious". There was a picture of Cartman doing an inappropriate act, and he thought Stan stole the picture and was going to use if for show an tell....Butters was sent to a "Jesus Camp" where they turn "bi-curious" boys into straight people.

 

It was extremely inappropriate, but amazingly funny.

Ha I can only imagine,. that is pretty funny. I'm not big on playing the religous card, but I have started to realize they don't single out any one group they single out society as a whole. so I've grown a little more tolerant. I did love the Wal Mart episodes though.

Might be the best episode ever. I cannot stand that place. That being said they do manage to get a considerable amount of my income. I mostly blame my wife of course.

Been gone for two days, How would the show be if it had a Non-Cartoon format? The cartoon draws the kids to it at first..Thats how my kids watched it and they told me about it. I always though Married with Children had its moments, but the kids didn't watch it. How would you imagine the show not as a cartoon, would it be still on? Does a cartoon get special rights? Family Guy had Peter sleeping with a exPresident after his wife did. I caught the Promo and I said I was going to research some shows.

You could not have kids play that part, and using real actors has it's limitations on some of the things they do. Society is changing daily, and I really don't know what will be on TV 20 yrs from now, but we need to keep our own house in order. One day I hope to be a dad and it will be my job to supervise my kids. This includes what they watch on TV or music they listen to. I enjoy the shows we have discussed on here, but I would not let my kids watch them until I saw fit.

I hate to break it to you but i was a kid when Married with Children came on and i watched it. As well as most kids in my classroom. It didn't warp my mind or play into the down fall of society as well. The simpsons was another show that was contraversial that i watched as a kid. That did not play into the down fall of my morals either. The fact is that you can not shelter your kids. I'm not saying they should watch these shows but as parents you should be able to teach your children right from wrong. You should be able to instill values and morals in your children then it wouldn't matter what they watched. If kids watch violent shows and become violent (or use foul language) that is usually because the parents didn't do their job. Parents either didn't take time to teach their kids or they tried to shelter their kids. The world in which i live have alot worse things in it than south park. I can tell you none of which was caused by television.

Eye...nice post. If you watch the Simpsons there is usually a message somewhere toward the end, my sons do not watch it because they would try to be like Bart. I agree and if you read my posts it begins at home.

Which parent did a better job with values? She was raised in a Christian home and I wasn't. I made a choice.

Explain the huge increase in sales of fighter jackets and sunglasses after Top Gun came out.

Explain the boys wearing the pants below the crack of their butt like the rappers do.

Explain the grunge look in the early 90's after Nirvana and such bands became popular.

Explain the STAR TREK CONVENTIONS.

Explain the mullet after the rock bands of the 80's. In fact, explain the whole fashion sense of the 80's after the rock band.

Explain my usage of the word, "Word" after the song "Word Up" came out.
