Tubby Smith was on PTI or Pardon The Intruption. He seemed very uneasy to me when the hosts asked about his job security. If anyone else saw it I would like to know how he seemed to you, and if its just me.:sssh:

 

Well I just watched it, and he didn't seem uneasy at all. He sounded just like he always does in any interview he does...

How can anyone not like the guy.

The thing that really bothers me about the whole thing, and I should preface this by saying that I've been extremely disappointed in the last 2 seasons, is that in the 3 years before that Kentucky went 87-15. During that time the knock on Tubby was that he didn't make the Final Four, the thing is he did it with his type of players: Eric Daniels, Chuck Hayes, Gerald Fitch. The people that were unhappy complained about his inability to recruit McDonald's All-Americans. What happened Tubby went out and signed 3. None of the 3 turned out to be as good as advertised and in the process we missed out on Chris Lofton and Corey Brewer. The thing is most coaches in the country would have done the same thing as Tubby. In hindsight yes, we should have taken Brewer and Lofton over Rondo and Morris but it seems to be to be a case of getting the wrong results from the right decision. Tubby is a very classy person who is a great ambassador for the University of Kentucky. I hope he can coax a good postseason run out of this team, reorganize his staff (I think this is a must), land Patterson and Lucas and turn things around.

I just heard about Tubby on the Budweiser Hot Seat. They are saying that Tubby's seat is getting pretty HOT. He is a good coach, but UK is no longer elite, etc...

I didn't see a coach who looked un-easy at all. I saw a classy individual who answered the questions and promoted his program. There is no doubt he represented himself and the university very well!

Tubby is the right guy to represent KY. But he has to put a better product on the floor. KY is no longer elite.

Tubby Smith has the 5th best winning % in SEC History people!!!

Tubby did quite well actually...defending his record like he should have a lot sooner. Granted, he is uncomfortable doing so and shouldn't have to, in my opinion, but the unreasonable rumblings forced his hand. Still, he did it with class and even called the UK fans the best in the country.

 

As usual, UK was well represented with class by Tubby on national television...something that a loud minority seem to take for granted.

:thumb: :thumb: OTS has always been a class act and The University Of Kentucky is fortunate to have him leading their program.

I watched it late last night (DVR) and I thought the same thing.

 

I read the posts on here before I watched the show and did not see any uneasiness at all with all the tough questions they threw at him.
