Tubby Smith was on PTI or Pardon The Intruption. He seemed very uneasy to me when the hosts asked about his job security. If anyone else saw it I would like to know how he seemed to you, and if its just me.:sssh:

IMO, He can stay.

I think coaching changes are long overdue - as most educated fans think.

 

 

But the mindset of what have you done for me lately is prevalent??

Dont tell me about what you used to win and what we used to do.

 

 

If they get bounced today and then a 1st or 2nd round bounce in the NCAA Tourney....that will be bad. That shows not doing much for me lately.

 

It also begs the notion that Tubby can't develop players....even MC.D players seem to fail to meet their expectations.

 

Maybe Lofton or Brewer wouldn't not have developed as well here.

I watched it and felt like Tubby once again handled himself with class and represented the University in a great way. When looking back at the coaches that UK has had, it's fairly obvious IMO why Tubby is and always will be my favorite. He has handled himself in a manner that all should be proud of. Look at the previous UK coaches, Adolph Rupp(racist), Eddie Sutton(drunk), Rick Pitinio(he didn't get the name "Slick Rick" for nothing). The only one who doesn't seem to be a shady character is Tubby and Joe B, although I honestly don't know much about Hall, and I for one am glad we have someone like that representing our team.

Just for all the Tubby haters its stupid to jump off the "bandwagon" after one bad year...who knows this year isnt considered a bad season just yet. Im sure all the Tubby bashers werent saying he was a bad coach when we went undefeated in the SEC or the year before or after that season, and we didnt win a championship then. Name a college that for 10 years has been in the top 5 or dominate each year? No one does it look at UCONN and Syracuse this year...Do those two teams have bad coaches?

dUKe, Arizona, Michigan State, Syracuse, UCONN, along w/UK and Indiana all are considered the upper-tier of college basketball and all have or will have double digit losses and all are out of the top-15. Some of the listed teams (UCONN) will not even make the tourney. This isn't the first time for some of these schools either. Some have been to Final Fours since UK and UCONN won a national title, but the point is that all schools, even the great schools have down seasons and sometimes 2 down seasons.
