McMichael was a tallented TE but was becoming more of a locker room distraction with his attitude and unwillingness to be a consistent blocker. Losing Wes Welker will hurt but now Chambers will be the slot WR like he wants and was 2 years ago when he had his big year. They need to have a good draft and right now with 8-9 picks and 3 of them coming in the top 60 they have a chance to have one of their better drafts in some time. Mare is next to go it looks like. Cameron has said they will address the O-Line this offseason. Losing Mcintosh won't hurt but the releasing of Jeno James was a suprise.

It's all in where your priorities lie. So I was cracking on the city to poke a little fun, the fact remains that they let a quality defensive player go elsewhere while their defense still sucks, plain and simple, there, how's that for a spade? Unless they do something remarkable in the draft or get someone from the FA market, it'll be same ole'-same ole' in the Queen City. And I for one hope it stays status quo!

Maybe there is more to it than we know. For example, maybe some problems showed up on film that we don't know about regarding his game performance. Maybe he didn't like the direction that Mueller & Cameron were going & asked for his release. Who knows!
