March 6, 200719 yr Cool, but reportedly it is a 5 year, 32 million dollar contract. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-dolsign030607,0,6105496.story?coll=sfla-dolphins-front Now if GM Mueller & Coach Camron can add additional quality players either through additional free agents or the draft for the ones that are now gone (Randy McMichael, Wes Welker, Joey Harrington, Sammy Morris, Kevin Carter, Damion McIntosh, Dan Wilkinson, Jeno James, & Seth McKinney). They have obtained David Martin to replace McMichael & are talking with Kelly Washington, but there are a lot of holes to fill!
March 6, 200719 yr Porter and Taylor are going to be tough!! Miami is moving up the AFC ladder. Back to picking on the Bengals fans!!!!!!!
March 6, 200719 yr Miami defense is getting better. Offense may not be that great right now but watch out!
March 6, 200719 yr Actually, I'm curious how they'll use Porter. Obviously, Taylor is the rusher off the edge from a 3pt stance, will they play Porter on the same side, or will they use him on the other side? Frankly, he's a quality pass rusher, but is only average in run support IMO. I think that not only is this a move for cap implications on the Steelers behalf but another clue that they are headed in the direction of 4-3.
March 6, 200719 yr Their defense has always been pretty tough, they just need to find a quarterback, a #1 deep threat reciever, a #2 back behind Brown and they will be good to go. Too bad finding those three may be a small problem.
March 6, 200719 yr Miami defense is getting better. Offense may not be that great right now but watch out! They're also getting older, Porter doesn't fix this either. Although it will be a good move for the short term, they need some young guys to start filling the depth chart or Miami will be the next Tampa Bay.

Too bad finding those three may be a small problem. Agreed, but at least Miami now has 9 draft picks with 3 of those picks occuring within the first 60 (9, 40, & 60 from New England). Maybe some talent will be found there.

March 6, 200719 yr :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa YES!!! Huge sign for the Dolphins, now we just need to fill a few more holes on this team...
March 6, 200719 yr Don't say that, I have a complex about them switching... Well, currently the Steelers don't have the personnel to employ the 4-3. However, Tomlin is a 4-3 guy and Lebeau only has one year on his current contract. My suspicion is that at season's end Lebeau is out (if the Steelers have enough success, he'll be in the mix for a head coaching job, if not he'll be gobbled up ASAP as DC somewhere looking for a change) and by year 2 and after the second of the drafts with Tomlin in charge, I suspect our personnel will change drastically so that we will be in position to change to 4-3, just a hunch!
March 6, 200719 yr I heard Porter was interested in the Bengals, but I guess Miami had more money... Miami = Southbeach Cincinnati = ?????????(Montgomery Inn, Beautiful shore of the Ohio, Newport Aquarium????)
