But Morris can shop himself around as much as he wants. He won't leave without a contract in hand, but he's free to seek one out (so long as he doesn't have an agent do it). He now has no risk in looking at the NBA. Any team could show up and sign him to a contract and he's gone. Anyone remember that kid from Florida who did that a few years ago?

First of all yeah we all know that nobody would take Crawford in the draft, but we also all knew that nobody would take Morris in the draft after his freshman year. Yet he still decided to give it a try, and if Tubby leave I bet there is a good chance Crawford would give it a chance..Then for Lucas, we our one of his choices because of Tubby, and I might have heard this wrong but I believe like someone in his family also wanted him to come here because of Tubby. If Tubby is not here Lucas would not come here, and same with Patterson. Also who knows whoever the new coach would be if the guys we already got committed would want to play for him. Just because his style of play might be better, doesn't automatically mean the kid will click with the coach and want to come here still. So we still could lose guys we already got locked up. Then not to mention the freshman of this year, they all came here because of Tubby. So if he left there is no guarntee that they all still will stay. What would happen say if Meeks decides to go else where, or something like that. So there are ALOT of bad things that could happen to next years team, if there is a coaching change. Maybe you would be right and really no guys will leave, but usually when you see coaches go. You also see guys transfer and recruits change their mind about going to that school. So you cant just look at the good, because you think getting a new coach would mean all great things. You got to take into account that there could also be a whole lot more bad things to happen, and things could get alot worse than what many of you all complain about right now...

February 28, 200719 yr It really is not OrlandoTubby Smith that is and always has been a problem it is Tubby Ball that has the whole state in a frenzy. He is a greap person we just don't like the slow down to make the game longer so that they will make fewer mustakes,that has got to change. Kentucky is known for fast horses and basketball and the fast basketball has been stuffed out. Tubby just needs to move on and let us have our basketball fast break teams back. :dancingpa :banana: :walk: :jump: :ylsuper: :thumb:

Sure, a few guys might transfer, but its my opinion they wouldn't. You bring in Crean or Few or Wright or D'Antoni and you're getting a top caliber coach. Yeah, kids want to play for Tubby, but they want to play for other coaches as well. Now if they bring in Pelphrey or Ford, who are less proven, I think you'd see the possibility of more guys leaving. I only see Crawford trying to leave if he thinks Meeks will beat him out for PT.
February 28, 200719 yr All of this over Tubby, and some UK still give Eddie Sutton(loosing season, probation, 1st round tournament exit) a free pass. Hall had back to back years with 1st round exits in the 80's, but Tubby has caused the low point or downfall of the prpgram?
