However you may be right, I am willing to have one BAD year in recruiting to get over the hump. Probably more than one.....Remember now, Drayton Green has already endorsed Tubby as a major factor in him coming to UK, and Kenny Frease and Darius Miller would be all but gone....
February 27, 200719 yr Here's what I see as a huge difference between comparing OTS to Rich Brooks. Brooks came into a HORRIBLE situation saddled with a harsh probation which strictly restricted his recruiting. On top of that, his teams suffered some God awful injury years and yet he maintained his direction, filled his staff with what appear to be top notch assistants and seems to have UK's long moribund football program on a path to respectability in the toughest football conference in America. Tubby took over the top college program in the country at the peak of success and popularity, riding that wave of success to a championship his very first year. Since then, he has had multiple players leave his program for greener pastures along with having several players have brushes with the law. We, as fans, have seen the gradual descent into mediocrity of the once revered program as Tubby's teams suffer the most home losses in UK history. His team be dubbed as the favorite, only to be bounced before reaching the Final Four...TWICE. He has yet to return to the Final Four and we have experienced the previously unfathomable 4 game losing streak to VANDERBILT. When UK struggles to crack the top 25, all is not well with the world. This has been the trend since OTS took over the program and if you are happy with it, great, sign him to an extension and keep him forever. As for me, until UK is back at the top as one of the yearly contenders for the title as opposed to a yearly Bubble Team, I will be for the removal of Tubby as UK's coach.

Even the longest journey begins with a single step...unless something changes, it seems that the longer UK keeps Tubby, the longer that journey will be.
February 27, 200719 yr Morris would leave and this years recruits would probably leave (or not sign PP and JL), but I'd say the rest of the team would stay if Tubby stepped down. We'd have a "down" year next year(15-20 losses) but I think we'd rebound with the right coach after that. Huggins was loved by his player and I think Tubby is liked by his players, but if he was loved they'd play a little harder for him.

Im not sure. Getting hurt is one thing but I dont see too many seniors wanting to volunteer to redshirt a year some where to play their final year. By what I've seen of Crawford's actions he doesnt act like he's enamored by Tubby anyway. With respect to Morris you all are acting like he's a lock to come back and stay the whole year --even if TUBBY IS THERE.

Imo Crawford could transfer to a lower level school (NAIA, DIII, or one of those) and not have to sit out. I agree wit others in that Crawford isn't going anywhere.

To scrap 2007 and even get going in 2008 would require a huge name hire or a rising young name with major AAU connections. I just don't think people are looking at the ramifications of what they are asking for...
