Allin, you are absolutely correct about one thing Tubby will never be fired, however, UK will be the last place he ever coaches.

When, if at all, is the last time UK fired the head basketball coach?

You are 100% correct. If he does not sign Patterson and or Lucas he may think it is time to move on.

If they lose Morris on top of what you said above and go out early in the NCAA tourney, then and only then does he probably consider resigning, me thinks.

I guess you are implying that just because a kid decides that say Texas A&M is a better fit for him that is Tubby's fault?

Yeah. Brandon Wright should be at UK. A top five player who wanted to go to UK, but didn't because the style of play. Two years after UK was supposed to start running with the ball. Tubby has to get top 20 recruits and he doesn't. That's a problem and it's his fault.

Why the "will never be fired" attitude? That makes no sense to me.

It will take more than two subpar years to get Tubby fired. The halfcourt offense does stink, but when we play defense the way we are supposed to with deflections and blocked shots we get up and down the floor pretty well.

I say fire him. I don't think PP and JL are coming here. I think they would be out of their mind to come to KY right now. When they committ elsewhere fire Tubby and move on.

The way it looks right now Morris is coming out!

you really are uneducated on this subject. We werent even in his top FIVE. Contrary to what you and the other 18% may think, we werent even really in the picture. And it had NOTHING to do with style of play.

Never is an awfully big word.

This year, next year or the year after I would agree that it wouldn't happen after these years but if the next few seasons are poor years then he possibly might be 'forced' to retire.

Not me.

Since Morris already "came out", he can sign any time he wants to as a free-agent. He could get the call and leave before the NCAA if he wanted to.

One question though, if a team signs Morris does it count as a draft pick?

No. He's a free agent in every sense of the word...
