That would be a firestorm of national negative press and it will not happen. When/if he leaves, it will be on his terms. Also, if he's here April 1, 2007, he gets a Loyalty Bonus of 1.5 million dollars by a previous contract. He will not walk away from that, either. I would'nt. As long as he is winning 20 games a year and looks like we'll make the tourney, he's here. Even if they did fire him, we'd probably get Jerry Green. Did'nt Barnhart and Jerry work together in Oregon, too?
