Somerset (8-1) makes the long trip to Hopkinsville to take on Christian County (3-5) in a game that is huge for Somerset's RPI. The Briar Jumpers are coming off a district title clinching win at Monroe County. Although the final score of the game was 41-14, Somerset didn't play particularly well against the Falcons. The Jumpers had over 150 yards in penalties and struggled defensively in the first half against the short passing game of Monroe. The game was tied 14-14 at halftime before Somerset scored 27 unanswered points in the 2nd half. Christian County is coming off of a huge 24-21 win against McCracken County. Although the Tigers record is only 3-5, don't be fooled, they are a solid football team. The combined record of the teams that have defeated Christian County is 38-10. The Tigers are playing at home and Somerset will have a 3 hour bus ride to Hopkinsville. If the Jumpers get off to a sluggish start this week, they will quickly find themselves in a hole. Who wins this one and why?

You're the one that called Somerset a glass house. Either they are a little bit tougher than you gave them credit for. or Christian County didn't have enough rocks. The Tigers had scored an even 100 p

I think this is a tough game to pick and anyone entering our contest will get to do so.

BUT, factoring in the strength of schedule and a long bus ride, this game will be a lot closer than what the initial eye test suggests.

Somerset is still an unknown to us in the western part of the state but there is no doubt they are a high quality program.

Christian County is coming off a huge 24-21 win over McCracken County that moved their record to 3-5. But a closer look reveals a 7 point loss to Cooper and a 4 point loss to Henderson. They could very easily be 2-6 and also very easily be 5-3.

Christian County’s strength is their defense. They shutout McCracken County for the 1st half and also held McCracken to a total of 6 points through 3 quarters.

I’m anxious to see how this one goes.

If Somerset wins it will boost their RPI

Give me the Tigers. I think they are starting to figure things out.

Shoutout to both teams for making this happen. The logistics alone for the drive are not easy with a full team on a bus.

Does this mean next season Christian drives to Cooper and Somerset? Don't think so due to the new 2-year contract season coming, but wanted to ask.

Good luck to both teams, but I'm pulling for Christian County in this one!

I doubt it, but you never know. It appears the new Christian County High School forged a schedule out of the old Christian County and Hopkinsville schedules, plus a couple extra games. They've had their ups and downs so far but I think they new school has a bright future.

I think Somerset is a glass house. They've not beat anyone that I would consider very good or upper echelon. Their game with Southwestern was close to the end with a garbage time TD to extend it. I think Christian Co will win in a close one. And then their second round game with Danville will be a good one.

A glass house!! LOL. I like that one. And everyone, here you go:

Any stream for this game?

Thank you to the member that sent this to me and can't wait to tune in, from HUDL
