๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Can Tigers Keep Pace With Long Striding Mustangs?

McCracken County ๐ŸŽ (5-2, 6A #10) | Putting points on the board hasn't been an issue; Trigger man Cole Presswood has guided the Mustangs to 43 ppg. It's the swiss cheese defense that keeps McCracken fans chewing their fingernails. They're allowing nearly 40 ppg.

Christian County ๐Ÿฏ (2-5) | The newly consolidated Tigers aren't dipping their paws in the waterโ€ฆ they dove in head first. The schedule has been highlighted by competitive losses to Cooper and Mayfield, as well as more heavy handed defeats to South Warren and Frederick Douglass.

Christian County has a female kicker who made the game winning field goal. We had a female kicker at Tilghman not all that long ago who was good also. Props to her.

The Tigers beat themselves Friday night in a district loss to Henderson. A pick 6, dropping a punt on their own 5, a late 4th quarter roughing the punter penalty up 33-30 that turned 4th & 19 into 1st & 10 that led to the go ahead score and still had a chance to win late in a game where they had to start their backup qb says the Tigers are dangerous.

McCracken County should be the favorite in this game and rightfully so. Their offense is almost unstoppable and they have weapons all over the place for their young QB. Matchem is a nightmare to defend but the Mustangs do have other offensive weapons that you have to account for as well.

If the Tigers can limit costly mistakes (penalties, turnovers) that have plagued them in their close losses they could keep this competitive but I think the Mustangs will prove to be too much.

I watched some of the game against Henderson County and Christian County didn't look to have more than 25 players?

There are 73 players listed on Christian County's official varsity roster.

They have around 65-70 JV/V and around 30-35 Freshman. They play all 3 levels of football (FR,JV, V)

I wonder if teams donโ€™t take their full roster to away games I went to the Barren Greenwood game a couple weeks ago and I know Barren has about 70 on the roster but it appeared they only had about 42 on the sideline.

Probably a travel roster for away games but Christian County played at home this past week. I was looking for some screenshots from highlights and found the following. Looks like a lot more than 25.

McCracken wins.

Never know who will show up for Christian County, addition of Hopkinsville has helped. They certainly should be able to play with anybody, but you never know in the last several years.
