Trinity (5-1) will welcome yet another tradition rich Ohio high school football team as Cincinnati St. Xavier (3-3) rolls in to Marshall Stadium.

The Shamrocks are coming off a dominating 44-0 win over arch rival Louisville St. Xavier, while the Bombers are fresh off a 31-29 upset win over previously undefeated Cincinnati Elder.

Coach Cobb and the Rocks are averaging scoring 41 points per game while allowing 14 points per game. Coach Specht and the Bombers are averaging scoring 23 points per game while allowing 19 points per game.

Cincinnati St. Xavier leads the all time series with Trinity 8 wins to 7 losses, including a 17-14 victory over the Shamrocks last season.

Will the Rocks get payback over the Bombers in 2026?

Shamrocks- 38

Bombers- 7

Trinity knew last week would be easy and the Bombers are coming off a big upset so I like the Trinity mindset better in this game.

From last year:

Massey ratings have it Shamrocks 33-14.

Will be closer than we expect.

Also, weather for Friday night could play a factor right. It looks like rain.

After this week, the only thing interesting to watch the rest of the regular season is Zane Johnson and is assult on the Trinity record book.

He needs 5 TD passes to tie Brian Brohm for most in school history (119).

Zane could rewrite all of the passing records before it's all said and done.

Always remember Brian achieved his stats in three seasons. His father did not want him playing up as a freshman. Zach can be Trinity's initial four time champion as a starting QB. DeSensi was first to win two. Brian Brohm was the first to win three.

Heard Trinity DB Sekou Kamara will be back in action this week. One of my favorite guys to watch so I hope he finishes out his senior year healthy.

I am very happy to see this. After the 2023 state championship I spoke with Sekou's father and told him I thought Sekou played as well on defense as Zane did on offense.

Brian also played in an offense that threw the ball 150 more attempts a year. Their yards per completion are identical.

Kamara was not on the field at practice yesterday, it appears he will be out at least one more week.

The Rocks roll.

In Trinity's last home game against Male, they also streamed the game on YouTube. To me this was far superior to the new app, which I am not a fan of so far. If they do that again I will send the link when it appears.
