The Crimson Tide of Alabama (1-0) come to town to take on the Wildcats of Kentucky (1-0). Both teams had an easy opening opponent. The Tide defeated East Carolina 48-10 while the Cats defeated Youngstown State 45-13. This should tell us a lot about this Kentucky team. Kickoff at Kroger Field is slated for 3:30pm next Saturday it is a nationally televised game on ABC. Go Cats!!

Going to have some extra eyes on Kentucky next week. Weather as of now looks to be near perfect with highs in low 80's and only a very slight chance of rain.

Alabama currently is a 10.5 point favorite.

I think mostly everyone still needs to pick Bama in this. Only because we just don't know what UK is under Stein. With that said this isn't Saban's bama anymore. As we have seen Vandy and Indiana both beat Bama in the last two years with their new coaches, when going against a Sabanless Bama team.

So have to lean Bama still here, but also wouldn't be a complete shock if UK won, and also would tell us more about what UK is under Stein.

There are a lot of people getting wrapped up in UK's performance against Youngstown State. Seems a bit risky IMO.

That was a scrimmage to me, we are opening the season/SEC play against Bama!

Kentucky is a really good football team. That offensive line is physical and gets after you. Lexington will be rocking on Saturday. However, I still don't believe Kentucky is ready to take down a program like Alabama. I believe this one is going to tight early, but Alabama pulls away late to win by a couple scores.

That may be true, but those taking that and saying UK is going to win is a gigantic stretch.

Regardless of their playbook, UK is going to have trouble stopping Alabama from scoring. Unless they were also holding back on defense. 😂
