Post-game notes:

-Danville goes to 2-0, Knox Central goes to 1-1

-Danville's next opponent is hosting Anderson County (1-1) and it will be Bate night at Admiral Stadium. Knox Central will travel to South Laurel (1-1)

-According to my quick research (which could've missed something) Danville has not scored this many points in a game since an October 15, 2004 victory against Trimble County, which was a 77-0 rout back in the Sam Harp days.

I love what Stoney is doing at Danville. I hope we are only a few years away from the Danville/Boyle series being brought back to life.

I know the way that series ended made the Boyle faithful mad (and for good reason). But I'm fine with playing them back-to-back at their stadium if that's what it takes to get it back on the schedule. There are RPI considerations too that have to be weighed. I'm hoping community demand will force it to be brought back and I also hope that new leadership in Danville at the top that has filtered through the system will produce some change here.

I try. The Ads radio crew does their best and I know it's not an easy job but it is frustrating when the clock isn't said for a long period of time or they tell you "That was a 1 yard run and now it's 2nd & 5" and you are like "Huh?"

I notice that will a lot of commentators, they are oblivious about the audience they are serving.

Someone used to tell me a story that when they were doing radio football PBP they'd have one of those little sand hourglass timers that went for like 3 minutes and once the sand ran out they'd always make sure to say the score/time again for the listeners. Thought that was an idea others should copy!

That gets distorted here on BGP. Sometimes I gave an update a minute in the past but there are ten posts and members will be asking for a score or other detail that was just given.

This belongs in basketball forum.

Danville needs to get way better defensively if they plan on having a deep run in November. They are not very good up front on both sides of the ball.

Agreed. This is one of those depth issues that will take time for the Ads to correct. The depth of some playmakers is starting to improve but getting that push on the lines is what is going to be the next thing that needs addressing as that's where championship caliber teams are made.

I'm glad that this year's juniors and seniors, who endured those horrible winless years, are getting to enjoy success.

As our 2A poll on this site shows, the Ads are a step below the other 5-6 2A competitors but give it another 2 years and I think Stonebreaker can change that narrative. Heck, I think you all under Clevenger have really built yourselves into a team that can break out of that logjam in the semis and get to Lexington. There's a lot of good teams at the top of 2A and many of them keep upgrading (see Rash back at Beechwood) and no one is coming down!
