Trinity posting yet another blowout victory against a supposed #1.

I'm a die hard Rocks fan.

But where do we go from here?

Not sure what your comment implies, but we go back one week from tonight to Marshall Stadium 2-0 and get ready to host a Cincinnati Moeller squad that won big tonight. Iron sharpens iron.

CBC played a 4 team scrimmage with some other schools in the preseason and showed several different looks. They appear to be playing two quarterbacks in SR Franklin McGinty and JR Daylan Austin-Harvey

CBC with a TD to make it 52-21.

16 seconds left in the game.

Really well called game.

The Rocks showed up and showed out. I was nervous about this game going forward.

Now I'm not. These guys took a 4+ hour bus ride to lay down the wood.

Undefeated season; uploading.

Passing game had me really worried in the first half, but we are so lucky to have an elite run game to lean on, and an OL that seems to be exceeding expectations so far. Feeling great going into these next two in St. Matthews.

What in the wide, wide world of sports is a "college high school"?

No, being serious. It was good to see, the two teams were very gracious with each other.

Well that's good to hear. Always interesting to see how a highly ranked team bounces back the remainder of the year after taking a beating early on. The good thing is they got it out of the way early and probably won't face another team as squared away as Trinity.

With that said, was it team speed that was the difference for Trinity or line play, skilled positions, all of the above?

All of the above and Trinity was the more experienced, veteran team.

As Guru said, all the above. The biggest thing I saw was Trinity was able to run the ball and controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, especially in the second half. CBC has some athletes and will probably not play another team even close to Trinity's level the rest of the year. CBC is also pretty young/inexperienced and will be really tough next year. If you have the time I recommend watching the game on the CBC YouTube channel. Their commentators were really good and fair.

Christian Brothers is a Catholic college preparatory high school that opened in 1850. Prior to the early 1900s when states really began to push and provide public schools, many communities had schools that were called "colleges." Drive around Kentucky and in lots and lots of towns you will see a College Street. You can guarantee that 100 years ago there was a school on that street and there may still be an old building.

CBC was faster and more athletic than Anderson for sure. But in the end, the Rocks were still able to pull away. Was very good to see the passing game get going + the running ability still be there. 2-0 and having won those games by a combined score of 111-34. Great start. Now onto Moeller next week at home.

Rocks are on their way to yet another 6A title.
