Reds lose 2-1 in 10 innings.  Should have won this one.

Santillan strikes again.  This guy is just not the answer.  What that answer is I have NO idea, even Pagan was shaky when he was healthy.

That is just sad.  I know these guys are trying, but at some point you gotta just "go outside the box" with the approach.  The Brewers are definitely in the Reds heads (shoot, one could say the whole

    Reds win!!!!

Elly is back in the lineup tonight. The Reds were 30-28 when he went out of the lineup. It also is exactly 3 years to the day against the Braves that Elly hit for the cycle.

Lodolo off to a good start striking out 2 of his first 3 batters in the top of the first!

Well Elly's first at bat was not much to write home about struck out on 3 straight pitches and was woefully behind on two fastballs right down the middle. The Reds also go in order.

Reds out in order again in the 2nd with 2 of the outs by way of strikeouts.

Reds send the Brewers out in order again in the top of the 3rd. They did get a baserunner on an error (catcher's interference)but was erased by a double play. Still 0-0 after 2.5 innings.

Well the Reds have picked up just where they left off last night! They just went down again in the bottom of the 3rd on 3 straight strikeouts! They have only two hits and two baserunners that earned their way on in the last 13 innings and 1 of those was an infield single. It their last 39 outs they have had 20 of those outs by way of the strikeout. So far tonight 4 of the first 9 batters have struck out.

Reds get Bleday on finally after he was hit by pitch and got into scoring position on a wild pitch but was left after Stewart struck out to end the inning his 2nd strikeout of the game.

The Reds did get a hit in the bottom of the 6th inning (finally) as Trevino but still did not score. The Brewers scored in the top of the 6th Vaughn walked and scored on a triple by Bauers to go up 1-0.

Reds again do not score in the bottom of the 7th and now have struck out 12 of their 21 outs and now have a grand total of 3 hits their last 17 innings.

The Brewers pickup another run in the top of the 8th on a sac fly scoring Turang who had singled on a ball that should have been fielded by Elly and now led 2-0 headed to the bottom of the 8th.

The Reds get a leadoff single in the bottom of the 8th by Lowe and then a Suarez strikeout and then Marte hit into a 5-4-3 inning ending double play.

Petty retires the Brewers in order in the top of the 9th and the Reds are down to their last 3 outs.

Reds lose again and lose the series as the Brewers have now won 9 straight series in Cincinnati. The Reds held again to just two hits tonight. They in the last 19 innings have 1 run on just 4 hits and 27 strikeouts. Tonight both Brewers runs were on set up by two missed played balls that should have been made but were counted as hits. The Reds have to have a win tomorrow night!
