That is just sad.  I know these guys are trying, but at some point you gotta just "go outside the box" with the approach.  The Brewers are definitely in the Reds heads (shoot, one could say the whole

I don't see any relief in sight.

    Reds win!!!!

Reds lose the lead in the bottom of the 7th on 2 unearned runs and now trail 3-2 after 7 innings.

The home plate umpire is pathetic. Three challenges on one at bat, all won by the Reds.  He also looks like he stands up too high and that can't help his view of the strike zone.

The bullpen gives up three more in the bottom of the 8th inning and now trail 6-2.

Reds lose their 5th in a row and now 9 of their last 11 games and lose this one 6-2. SAD!!

We’re getting to a point where changes have to be made. They’ll never fire Tito but Valinka needs to go and Krall needs to follow. Injuries happen but Krall has done a horrible job getting enough talent to bring up for those injuries.

Lance posted an email from a listener:

Email this morning from listener A.L.

"I grew up a Cincinnati Reds fan. I would keep a radio under my pillow so that my parents wouldn't know that I am listening to the west coast late games. My dad and I used to go to 20 games a year. Section 202 (green seats), row 7, seats 1 and 2. I caught a foul ball when I was 10, and got an honorary contract:)

I now go to one game a year, and it's always with work. I just want them to be somewhat interesting until training camp. They are an afterthought and it won't change, and it has nothing to do with the economic structure of MLB.

I am 56, and my dad is 83. The last time the Reds won a playoff series, he was younger than I am now!"

Why make a scapegoat out of Valinka?  Ownership brings in guys that can't hit their weight, is Valinka really going to turn them into 300 hitters.  The Reds are trying to compete with too many players that really don't belong in the major league.  That includes some position players and the pen.  Ownership to to take a hard look at themselves.

How about it, the Reds finally win one over the Padres, 5-3 in 11 innings.

Agree. The responsibility falls solely on ownership. They are the one constant in the past 20+ years.

The Reds bullpen blow yet another lead! (Santillian and Petty) they fall 5-4. The Reds were leading 4-2 heading to the bottom of the 8th. After a travel day tomorrow the Reds start a home stand with Diamondbacks on Friday.
