That is just sad.  I know these guys are trying, but at some point you gotta just "go outside the box" with the approach.  The Brewers are definitely in the Reds heads (shoot, one could say the whole

    Reds win!!!!

Posted Images

The got their first two on with no outs and Stewart grounds into a double play. Then Bleday worked a good walk to put 2 on with 2 outs and Suarez down to his last out hits a fly ball to right field and it looked like a routine fly ball that just kept carrying and carrying and left the ballpark to put the Reds up now 9-7 going to the bottom of the 9th. Chase Petty coming into to attempt to get the save. Let's go!

Reds win! With a come from behind 9-7 win! Petty gets his 1st career save and the Reds have now won 3 of their last 4 series and can go for the sweep tomorrow. Go Reds!!

What payroll can they dump? Would anyone take Suarez? The only other player on the team making more than $10M is Brady Singer. They could probably dump him.

Yes, someone will take Suarez.  Signer will be gone, could also see Bleday, Lowe, Freidl, and Stephenson gone.  Would like to see Hays gone, but that won't happen with his contract.

Lowe, yes.

Friedl, if someone wants him, see ya.

Stephenson, doubt it. More likely Trevino is traded.

Bleday, zero chance the Reds let him go. He is the player the Reds should be trading for in dump deals.

let's package the bullpen and make an even swap with someone. LOL

We need a win today against the Pirates, we know what's going to happen with the Brewers on deck. LOL

Reds so far in two at bats have 1 hit and no runs. The Pirates have back-to-back hits and have runners on first and third with no outs after a miscommunication between Elly and Arroyo that could have been a double play. Valdez then hits a ground rule double to make it 1-0 Pirates and then former Red Tyler Callihan hit a 3-run homer to make it now 4-0 Pirates with still no one out in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

4-0 Pirates after 3, here we go again.

Reds have cut the lead in half in the top of the 4th to make it now 4-2 Pirates with the Reds still batting with still no outs.

Reds are chipping away as they have now cut the Pirates once 4 run lead and have now tied it at 4-4 with 1 out in the top of the 5th. Elly ended the inning as he grounded into a double play for the 2nd day in a row. This time he fell coming out of the box.

The Pirates take back the led on a solo homer in the bottom of the 5th to go back up 5-4 and still have only 1 out and 1 on as Singer leaves the game.

Pirates have bases loaded in the 7th and no outs.
