First of all I would like to see a link first, and if Tubby was to leave. How about we just make a trade with the Miami Heat. Pat Riley has said UK is his dream job, and Tubby would fit in pretty well with the Heat as a coach, because they would be a half court team that best suits Tubby...

I think Tubby's "system would work very well in the pros actually. Because Tubby's system has where guys dont do to much moving, and its alot of one on one stuff and that would fit in great in the NBA...However I agree I dont think his system would work with the Knicks and their players, because Tubby system is pretty much like Larry Browns and well we seen how well those players resonded to Brown...

I think that Tubby would be the pefect NBA coach! Throughout Tubby's tenure, he has always been a players coach. If a coach in the NBA demands anything from his players they usually revolt against him. Look what happened to Pitino! Tubby is suited to be an NBA coach. As for Donovan coming to UK, any college coach in the country would love to coach at the University of Kentucky. Kentucky, along with Duke, UNC, and UCLA are the 4 schools with the most history and prestige in the country. A coach at one of these 4 school will never leave to coach at another college. I think Digger Phelps hit on that last night during game day!

To coach the Heat, you have to be able to coach superstars. Very few coaches in history have been able to mold superstars into champions. Pat Riley and Phil Jackson are the only 2 coaches in the league that know how to coach the true superstars of the league. How would Pat Riley do as a college coach? He did play at UK!!!:sssh:

Pat Riley was mentioned once for the UK job and he said he would never take that job because of the unrealistic expections.

Why would you not want Billy he is a great coach. Who gets Tubby's rejects and makes them great. Like Brewer last night. He said he was ready to sign with the cats but Tubby said he was to small for SEC play. He is a great coach and has been to more Final Fours then Tubby. I would love for Kentucky to get Donavan.

If and thats a big IF but if Tubby was to leave or get fired. Why wouldn't you want Billy D here. If you like him or not, he is a very good coach and is a GREAT recruiter. He definitely would be one of the top 5 coaches in the country that we could bring in. I would have him, Tom Crean, Calapari, and Villanovas coach as 4 of the coaches I wouldn't mind seeing here. Then depending on when Tubby was to leave if he left I would throw Travis Ford, and John Pelphrey in the mix too after they both get a few more years of experience in coaching....

And he has also said it is a dream job of his, and that he would like to coach there someday..However with his health, it might be something that would make him not take it, because his body probably wouldn't be able to hold up through all the recruiting he would have to do...
