There has been talk about Tubby Smith leaving UK next year for the New York Knicks and there also has been talk about Billy Donavan leaving UF for UK? Donavan had expressed interest on a talk show I was listening to the other day. What are your thoughts?

If he had said something like that it would be the ONLY thing being talked about on the radio and would be all over the papers and local TV sports down here. I ain't seen nor heard squat.

People like Tubby because he is a nice guy. He is a good person. In the business world he he was CEO and his company was slipping he would be canned. UK basketball is Tubby's product and our stock has dropped a lot.

If any college Head coaching job became available and Tubby was interested in the Job,He would be one of the top finalist for any team!

Anyone else besides me willing to help him pack?

Donovan will not leave Florida, I don't see any of his team leaving this year? and if they win the title again and the 4 stay, then they'll probably win it again, is 3 years straight possible for Florida?

Why would Tubby leave? He'll have a very good team next year persay that Morris stays with UK for another season.

Also Dennis Felton definitely wouldn't be a guy I would want here. IF Tubby was not going to be the coach here, I wouldn't want us to bring in someone else who people would only complain all day and just make the job harder on him, because he plays the same defensive slow type of game as Tubby and people would be all over that...I would want someone who is a top recruiter and does run a faster pace, because that would also bring in more recruits...

Tubby Smith isn't going anywhere guys. The ship has been righted and the future is bright.

But at Florida, does Donovan have a great team or a great program?

And I still do not care about any other coach! I bring up Felton because HE and Tubby are alot like(as you said) and I believe that style of play is only half of the reason that Some people would be all over that!As far as Recruiting goes I think Felton can Hold is on!:sssh: B.T.W. Well I guess since you made it personal and called me out, I'll respond to you as well. If Donovan made the statement that "UK was his dream job", no I don't think it would be the lead story on "every sports show known to mankind". I wonder how that story would top the news at "NASCAR TODAY" or on TVG? Those are sports shows that are known to mankind. I don't think it would be the lead story on Sportscenter. If you do you need to cut back on the Kool-Aid. I think he has made a number of statements along those lines more than a few times out of respect for the UK program. So no, I don't think that is right, no matter the source.:devil:

I agree on Florida basketball always being second fiddle to the football program,imo that is true at anyplace but U.K. and Vandy in the SEC. Donovan has a great team and is very close if not already there to a great program at Florida.

Do you reall want to get this started, because I really did not see Pitino running the practices before the season, or calling the plays during the season. Or making the calls from the sideline when we played a more talented Duke team than us in the elite 8, or in the finals when we played a Utah team that was destroying everyone including the EXACT same Arizona team that beat Pitinos team the year before, and also beat a UNC team with Jamison and Vince Carter on it. I mean I really didn't see Pitino at all during those times, and the person who was holding up the trophy was Tubby, I didn't see Pitino anywhere, except when I watched sportscenter and saw his Celtics team getting killed every game...
