I would think she will have to give in to his demands if she still wants a company in four to five years. What will happen to DEI with no DEJR (budweiser), if she doesnt give him the money? She will have lost the biggest cash cow in the history of the sport.

Doesn't Jeff Gordon, partially or fully own, the #48? What about Michael Waltrip? Mark Martin owns, or did own part of the 17 car. There's more, but I'll leave it at that.

Jeff Gordon is not a majority owner like Jr. wants. Same for Martin. Michael just became an owner this year and well....thats started out ???? :confused:

I think Jr should start his own Inc. This surely would be better then arguing with the wicked step mother LOL and i know there is alot of drivers who would love to run for Jr. Just think Tony, JR, and Harvick WOW talk about a great team JMO I know it will never happen but hey theres always Dick Trickel and his mello-yello sponsorship.

I'm not much on Nascar but Theresa would be a fool not to give Dale majority ownership.

I agree, NEERFAN. :thumb: I believe Sr. was wanting Jr. to prove he was both worthy and mindful his dad yearned for Jr.'s love and respect of his accomplishments both as a driver and role model, and had paid his dues before he would have increasingly bestowed more and more ownership of DEI while he was still around, and hoped Jr. would step up and assume the responsibilities, which he has, to make sure his legacy was best preserved by continuing to groom Jr. to run the racing side so he could concentrate more on the business side, while also enjoying its continued success both on and off the track. But if Sr. had known his fate, I believe he would have wanted, obviously, Theresa to retain a large part of DEI as long as she lived since he always considered her a major part of his success, but would have made sure that Jr., even though still having a lot to learn, would now have to be the one to lead DEI to greater heights, while hoping Jr. would continue to appreciate Theresa's business prowess as a contributing factor to his dad's popularity. He was a driver, but also a good businessman who could always count on his wife to assume her role alongside him while confident she could handle the routine burdens which afforded him more time to drive, of course, but also helping him build the business he hoped would thrive in the future due, in no small part, to Jr.'s success on the track! So, yes, I believe Dale Earnhardt would have wanted his son to take control, and Theresa to be there to offer much the same support Jr. needs in order to concentrate on continuing to build the most successful team in Nascar today. It's hard for that situation to work in most split-family run businesses but, given the time, Dale Sr. would have made sure everyone was working toward the same goal and, knowing him, it would have been the elite team of today! So, while Jr.'s not his dad, he can put together a group that will rival the best, with Theresa playing a much-needed supporting role. Only time will tell! :thumb:

Dale Sr.'s will was made when the company first started, and at that point Jr. was def NOT able to run DEI. If he would have had a will made within a year of the crash, Jr. and Kerry would be full owners

I don't want to see Junior leave DEI, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in some better equipment. If he leaves, Budweiser will most likely go with him. I don't see DEI existing much longer after that.

Fact is Dale Earnhart is dead and left the company to his wife. Junior has no more the right to own a majority of the company than does his siblings. Junior has all of this power and fan base because of his father's skills and winnings. He hasn't won enough races to be considered an average driver let alone demanding ownership. He should worry about his driving first and ownership second.

It won't, and if it somehow did survive you wouldn't see much out of them.

Jr. is a decent driver but gets way too much publicity & attention imo
