After watching an ESPN interview it's clear that all he wants is to own his fathers company and make it better. 51% is all he would need but they said that it's unlikely that his stepmom will accept the offer! I hope it all works out and he stays with chevy and DEI!

Too much media attention is focused on Dale, Jr. Even when he's not doing well, all the announce crews spend way too much time talking about the #8 car. If Jr wants all od DEI, I say "Who cares?" He should concentrate more on driving and leave the politics of ownership to his father's wife, the legal owner of DEI.

Dale and Theresa owned DEI, just like they owned their house. When Sr died, Jr had as much claim to their business as he did their house. It was not Sr and Jr's business. If Sr wanted Jr to own the business, then I'm sure he would have made provisions for that to happen. DEI belongs to Theresa Earnhart. If Theresa were his natural mother, I doubt Jr would be making the waves he does.

It's true that Earnhardt would have made provisions. And who's to say he didn't? Dale Jr. is an heir, and he's the sole face of the company. When you say DEI, he's the first to come to mind. If he doesn't like the direction it's going, then he should fight for control. I don't doubt Teresa's abilities to run the company. She's had a lot on her plate in the past few years. Still, Jr. is smart and I believe that he could run the company and race. Just like his father did.

That's like saying Tony Stewart should own Joe Gibbs Racing or Jeff Gordon should own Hendrick Motorsports. Your argument is based on emotions, rather than common sense.

In the competitive sport that is NASCAR, I'm surprised Dale Jr. doesn't branch off and form DEJR Enterprises with the goal of sticking to Teresa on the track. You know DEJR could lure a top driver or two to the stable, maybe even Harvick from DEI. You know Jr. has the resources to do this.

So you're saying that Dale knew he was going to die that day? That's crazy, I'm sure if he knew he was going to die on the track he would have left the company to Jr. If he would have retired you better believe that company would be Jr's right now and his stepmom would be nowhere near it. Another ridiculous statement. Jr. deserves majority ownership because he is the only other son that drives nascar like Dale Sr. His stepmom deserves nothing, and if she gets anything then it definitely shouldn't be more than Dales own flesh and blood. Dale Jr and his brother and sister would stick together but in the end I'm sure they'd let him have majority ownership to get it out of her hands!

That's true until that happens to you. He wants it put to rest and gets what he is deserving of. How can you say just drive when this whole battle is going on with his deceased fathers company. I'm sure it is hurting him having to go through this. Seems like no compassion coming from your side. And why can't he drive and do politics? Seems like he did pretty good last year.
