I was thinking the same woth Stewart and Murphy starting but I am sure they will rotate players.

I wonder about it sometimes.  Clearly all of them can afford it and then some.  Additionally, you want to do nice things for teammates, especially new ones and former ones, but also do you want others buying your meal for you?  

Normal seems like everyone would pay for their own like the rest of society.

I don't know, Pete, $50 is so inconsequential to multi-millionaires that it doesn't matter.  Who knows, maybe they did some type of workout/sporting contest, and the loser is paying.

I do realize they can afford it.  My point is that has as you become richer and more famous, others reward you and want to be associated with you for ego and for business.  The only way that is curbed is if the sport or business puts up guardrails for what is allowed and what is not allowed.

The sport couldn't enforce it and Jeff Ruby isn't going to pass up feeding his ego by not giving  Magic Johnson a free meal. LOL
