  • I'd be fine with Coach Wolfe. He said in interview he would see where God wants him to go and a lot of praying goes on at St. X.

  • Congrats Coach Wallace!  Thanks for all the memories.  Enjoy your retirement.

Can/will they match that Georgia $?

Not sure but they have multiple applications and I have no idea who has applied but guess we'll find out one of them over next few weeks.

Can the new higher actually flip the script on Trinity’s run?

Going to be tough next year with what Trinity returns. After that the classes are more balanced with both having really good defenses in the freshman and sophomore classes. St. X senior class next year was the class as freshman only won 2 games.

According to this, he's not in the Top 100 in GA, but I'd say he's not far off (as are many others down there).

Alpharetta not a good program. Were 2-9 so he might be looking to get out of there.

They struggle for sure, and are part of the Fulton County School System (as is Johns Creek, who is amongst the Top 100 paid and historically as bad, if not worse than Alpharetta. But then you also have programs like Langston-Hughes, Milton & Cambridge which are all various levels of 'good' programs).

I don't know the ins and outs of Fulton Co, other than just the random info like above. My "direct ins" to the goings on in GAHSFB are South (Thomas County Central -> Coastal areas) + W/NW GA.

I can say that it's not about the money. His wife makes a great living, and at this point, he wants a change of scenery.

Does the Archdiocese have any oversight of hiring and compensation packages in Louisville?  Seems he has a major voice inNKy.

It's an Xaverian Brothers school which they have schools across the nation but do fall under Archbishop for religious reasons. St. X has a president and board of directors that handles compensation and expenditures. I don't know of Archbishop getting involved with that type of stuff. So many parishes and grade schools in Louisville that his plate is probably full.

If St. X has an opportunity to hire Chris Wolfe and doesn’t, they are making a big mistake.

I would definitely like Coach Wolfe. There are other coaches I would be happy with as well but I don't know who is being interviewed. I would think new coach will be announced after Christmas holiday.

Wolfe is a great coach, but I'd like to see a younger coach brought in with some "energy". Also, Wolfe's Male teams took a dip in talent over the last few years. That could be for a number of reasons, but if he is struggling to get players in at Male then how will he be able to get players in at St. X?

If they hire Wolfe, who is probably in his mid 50s, the athletic department will right back where they are now in 8-10 years, going through another coaching search.

Would St. X consider any Trinity assistant coaches?
