Strength of schedule, and how a team does against the strongest opponents they face is arguably the most important part of the measuring stick.

I was thinking Championships. Getting to Championships. Contending not pretending.  Once your doing that consistently. You get measured a little differently. But yes your completely correct.

These 2 teams have a lot of similarities. In past years, Murray and Lloyd played in 2a and neither could get over the hump vs Mayfield and Beechwood. Now that they've moved out of 2a with those 2 teams, they'll likely make a few more runs like this.

Not gonna lie. Its petty fun to say Beechwood will win State every year. I love it.

I would say Murray had a decent run against Mayfield starting in 2020 when Murray lost in regular season in overtime and beat Mayfield in 2nd round of playoffs that same year. Then won in the regular season the next year in 2021 for 2 wins in a row which not many teams could say that about Mayfield until LCA and Paducah Tilghman recent success against Mayfield. Murray was the only team in playoffs in 2023 to have a lead against Mayfield in that epic run to state championship. Murray probably should of beat Mayfield in regular season game last year as well but overall Mayfield has owned Murray through the years. I don't know anything about Lloyd and Beechwood history. But other than CAL, 3A is probably easier than 2A especially with addition of Belfry now in 2A.

Playing at this point in the year as a senior knowing it could be your last time suiting up in high school and for the vast majority the last time ever, it has to put extra motivation in the back of every kids mind in the class of 2026 across the state to keep their high school career alive for one more game.

What it's all about now, giving your all, together, to get to the end all be all, The State Championship at Kroger Field. For the majority of teams when the season started that goal isn't realistic. 24 Teams left now with the realization that all their hard work is about to have a chance to pay off next week. After Friday night 12 teams will have one last shot at everyone's goal when the season started in August.

There will be time when the season is over for these teams to reflect on everything that was accomplished during the year. The trials and tribulations that were overcome. The cheers and the teers. Right now, it's not the time for that. Right now, it's time to dig deep. It's time to be the best you that you can be for the brothers you have sacrificed so much for to be successful as a team and to get in this position. Every team still playing at this point has been successful, but now it's time to get to the mountain top.

Those weekday mornings, not long after the prior season ended, where they forced themselves up out of bed at 5 AM when they really didn't want to, to make it to a freezing cold 6 AM Jugg Warrior workout. Tonight is why it was worth it. Getting up out of bed 2 hours early before school to go bust their butt in the sticky humid summer morning heat for a 6 AM Jugg Warrior workout, tonight is why it was worth it. The runs down to Lions park in the blistering heat, tonight is why it was worth it. They broke attendance records and in return they broke school records that have been in place since 1995, and some longer. Big correlation there. They didn't do it for themselves, they did it for their team.

The seniors, that I briefed on last week, held everyone accountable or none of this would have been possible. Win or lose they will continue to do that. Being accountable in everyday life is ingrained in the Juggernauts now and each class will continue to make sure that they carry that tradition on.

Let's be honest, just working hard doesn’t get you this far. You got to have a lot of things go right. You got to do the right things when nobody's watching without getting any recognition. You need good morals at the soul and....you have to have some talent. Just talent doesn't get it done either. That talent needs a certain mentality or attitude at this point in the year. I've said it pretty much all year I know Lloyd has some dawgs but I needed to see it from them consistently. After watching them feast on all their opponents, I need to rephrase that now. I can't just delegate them to a dawg anymore.

These animals right here, they're not doing it for themselves. They're doing it for their big brothers in the class of 2026. Their doing it for their brothers in the class of 2025 that gave them a taste of success. They're doing it for the guys in the classes of '23 and '24 who knew they were on the verge of something special. They're doing it for their little brothers in the class of 2029, 2030, and so on. They're doing it for the proud hardworking city of Erlanger that has showed them nothing but the upmost support. They're doing it to make their moms, dads, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandpas and grandmas proud. They're doing it for every Lloyd Memorial alumni to be proud. They're doing it to carry on the legacy of the 65' and 76' Juggernauts that still show up on Friday nights to support them. They're doing it because they love to compete and putting on a Juggernaut uniform gives them the opportunity to do that and boy oh boy do they put something good out there on that field.

Lincoln " Linc " Tomlinson- eats nails for breakfast,  he is as tough as they come. I think he came out the womb wearing a jock strap...They probably still had those in 2010. Future " Mr. Erlanger ". This kid is wild, I think a dawg description might be too tame. Muscular, powerful, acute instincts, savage, strength, agility, athletic, protective of his territory, apex predator. Leader of the pride. Lion.

Colten " Colt " Barger-  Alien, I don't think he is from earth but seeing this kid track a ball reminds me of Ken Griffey Jr. tracking a deep fly ball to the wall or a line drive in the gap. Griffey Jr. was an electric football player in high school, so is this kid. Unnatural instincts. Fearless. Don't think there is anything this kid can't do. Golden Reciever, I mean Retriever, nah...He is a non recognized breed, bred for work, athletic build, lean strength with speed and endurance...Alaskan Husky.

Avery " Fred " Conrad-  The apple didn't fall far from the tree. Ball player " stuntin " like his daddy. Tell him he can't do something and watch his actions do the talking. Count him out, it wouldn't be the first time but good chance he will be the last one standing when the dust settles. Stocky, strong, active, athletic, loyal, agressive-loved ones are safe...put him around unfamiliar faces then there's a safety issue. Pitbull.

Isiah " Zay " Jones- Jack of all Trades. Not a position on the field he couldn't line up at. May have been chiseled out of stone. Sky is the limit for him. Loves playing the game with his brothers and contributing to success. Wouldn't want to run into him in an alley. Eager, muscular, powerful, confident, loyal, intelligent, agressive protector. Rottweiler.

Israel " Izzy " Turner- Polished, his movements are ahead of his youthfulness. Shines with confidence no matter the situation or who he is lined up across from. Might suprise you when you least expect it. Energetic, trainable, durable worker, instinctful, tracks it down, hard to shake, agressive when called to be. German Shepherd.

Demareon " Mareon " Peterson -*D*MAR*E*ON*, official research LOL, shows this is the proper spelling and pronunciation. Not the 15 different ways its been misspelled and mispronounced. I won't mess it up anymore, you shouldn't either. His name deserves some respect. A chip off the ol' block. His dad is looking down, from up above, smiling, proud of his boy. This kid has no clue how good he can actually be or what his potential is. He is just doing " it ". Has barely scratched the surface. Protecter- of the middle of the field, assertive and confident insticts, big athletic and powerful, not for the general public-due to special traits requires an experienced owner/coach to handle him correctly. Cane Corso.

Marja " Mar " Peterson - *Mar*J*.... again official research shows this is the proper spelling and pronunciation. Not Marjae or Marjay. I've messed that one up too, sorry sir. Don't give any respect on his name, keep making him take it from you, that's what he is use to. Kid has been fighting since the second he was born and he won't ever be backing down, it's not in his DNA. Spitting image of his big bro who is always in his corner, looking down on him from up above, proud and smiling at him while he puts in work. The kid is different. Not wired like everyone else. Adaptable, might seem lost but is totally aware, agile, lean strength, unpredictable, sneaky, fast, fierce, skilled predator. Black Panther.

Lloyd's got hogs too. Stocky, bulky, strong. Agressive. Certain traits designed for competition and defense. Disruptive and damaging. Mark their territory, clear paths. Move at the pace they want to. Always hungry for more. David Dobbs, Aiden Dolan, Brandon Carter, Trevor Larison, Stone Eickhoff, Evan West, Tyler England. I'm sure I left a few out but these hogs aren't looking for individual recognition. They're looking for their next competition. Measure them how you want to but their biggest attribute is the heart that they go out and show you.

Good luck Juggs get the win! My step-dad played for the Juggs!

Murray has only been competitive with Mayfield when they are in rebuilding mode. Mayfield is kryptonite to Murray.  Mayfield is about 90 and 17 against Murray.

Mayfield has dominated Murray worse than that but since 2020 Murray has had as much success as anyone during the span against Mayfield. Even during those years Paducah, McCracken nor Graves could still beat Mayfield and one of those years Mayfield even reached semi finals against Beechwood and Beechwood dominate Mayfield in that game so rebuild or not Graves nor Paducah, McCracken could still beat Mayfield and WE reached final four. I always thought Mayfield is like Beechwood never rebuild but only reload. So what was the last 2 years rebuild or reload in which Graves,  Paducah, LCA beat us and Murray should of beat us. Good luck Murray tonight against the Juggs. Mayfield has owned Murray no one can deny that but recently has been a different story.

Happy Xmas season. Let’s go Juggs!

@FB HeadHow well does Murray travel? Noticed they got quite the crowd. Would love to see them do what they do at home in Erlanger.

What time does the game start?

I think Murray is going to travel well for this one from what I am hearing.

It’s Black Friday and its a five hour drive.  Now, I do believe Murray will be a good crown and will make noice.  Plus, anywhere Murray plays, we play at home!  At least, that’s the team’s motto.  If you get a chance, ask one of the players what the weather is like?
