What a second-round match-up!! If JC can play their game, I give them the edge. No doubt CC has the potential to take care of business too, but if that JC run game is going and they make some stops on defense, those runs can wear down a defense. This may very well be the game of the night, in my opinion.

image.png.ccc670cfdd9a51635ca1ad60748a729d.pngYeah if Cov Cath struggle against the run. They are in for a really long night, especially since they are going up against college sized OL. Offensively, Gotta get the pass game going early. It does amazes me that they have 2 TEs on their roster that currently hold D1 Power 4 Offers, yet they are not on the field at the same exact time.

I'll go with Cov Cath in a close one. Basically a toss up game that could go either way. This is a big 2nd round game with a heavyweight being eliminated early.

Coach Smith & I did not agree on who would win this one. Those predictions come out Thursday at 7:30 pm!

Do you know if there is a live stream for the game? JC got some big boys interested to see how it goes! Going to be a good one, no doubt!

I'd be pretty surprised if Cov Cath got killed on the ground. Elder, Ryle and Highlands are all decently bigger on the lines, plus Cathedral is similar, if not bigger.

The only time I felt Cov Cath got beaten up on the ground was Ryle and their OL...but:

- That was the first game of the season

- The have an IU commit at RB, plus another good sized future college player at RB and an extremely fast QB that can threaten the C gap on pulls and boots. Throw in a good scheme that highlights their strengths and that's a nice recipe for success.

- Highlands was around 4.2 YPC and Elder's RB (led the GCL South in rushing) had under 5 YPC and a long of 14.

28 to 14 sounds about right to me.

Is JC live-streaming?

Last weeks TP94 Power Ratings

Covington Catholic    80.39
Johnson Central    75.78

With JC being at home that makes this one too close to call, at least using the TP94 Power Ratings.

Let me guess, you took the lightning fast QB and Coach Smith took the men?

Give me JC in a 22-15 game.

Hsratings.com has JC better by 3 pts. TP94 vs HSratings battle in this game.

At least in a BGP context here, I don't think many realize how good JC is this year.

Hopefully there is a stream of this game, anyone?

Since this game determines where Highlands plays in week 3 if they win, we could offer up the old free Highlands You Tube if there isn't already a stream ? .

Refresh my memory on last year's playoff game between these two. I see JC racked up 293 yards on the ground but only scored 13 points. Turnovers? Red zone failure?
