Collins wins, 52-49, fantastic, fun game!

I would not be shocked to see Mason Fields on the FBS level in a couple years. He's a very talented player. Extremely underrecruited IMO. 

Couldn't be happier for Mason, in spite of the loss.  400+ and 7 touchdowns in his final game will sting in the short term, but will always be something to look back on.  As I've said on this site numerous times, he is a fantastic young man, and I'm so happy for him.  

Hope he gets an opportunity to spin it at the next level.  Uniquely talented player.  

What a game. Dixie getting down 21 to start was just too much to overcome. Mason Fields did everything he could to keep them in the game. Talk about saving your best game for last.

Because as soon as we did, he read it, and it was Q keep and he ran right by us. Hope that answers your question.

Congrats to Collins on the win. Coach Lucas and his staff were class acts prior to and after the game. Big shout out to the crowd that was on hand, I loved that environment tonight. More than anything I am so proud of the way our kids battled back into this game. Nothing to hang their heads about at all, they went down fighting to the very last second. Heartbroken for the seniors this group has been a really good group to coach. This one stings for sure but you love to coach in games like this. Best of luck and health the rest of the way to Collins.

I for the life of me cannot understand how he had no D1 offers. I have sent his stuff to multiple D1 coaches and nothing. It’s the way recruiting works now- most want transfer portal kids.

Why should he? I haven’t seen him play this year but since the offseason the only thing I can associate with his name is how talented he is & needs D1 offers. However, his stats this year are pretty mediocre and while I understand it’s a team game, they didn’t overachieve this year by any stretch. He clearly has the D1 profile with his size & arm but what’s missing??

Amazing to think that the season came down to this play.  These young men worked so hard from the summer workouts to spring ball. 7 on 7’s and the grind of the 10 game season. Last night was the best game I’ve seen at Dixie since I started doing what I do. It was the best TEAM effort I’ve seen these young men play.  School records broken by Mason Fields who threw for 408 yards and 7 touchdowns!! Nishawn Golsby 7 rec. for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Thank you to Patrick Burke for all the access you give me to capture these moments. Thank you to the parents for your support and access to your players. To the boys… THANK YOU for accepting me!! There was never a time when I was around you guys that you didn’t make me feel welcomed. The high fives! Fist bumps! Hugs!! They will never be forgotten!

He had several D1 schools contacting him/us and quite a few in the building talking to him. Obviously his size and natural arm strength stand out. His mediocre numbers this season were put up with a patchwork O-line, hardly a run game to speak of, and against one of the toughest schedules/best competition in the state. Unfortunately he may be a victim of higher level D1 schools using portal/NIL. Wherever he lands they will be getting a great QB and expect to see him be part of that transfer portal moving up early.
