I caught the end of this game. I don't understand Dixie's coaching staff at the end. You get the TD at the end of the game. You do not go for two and try to win. Then after you kickoff, you go into the prevent. 

How are you supposed to win? A less than likely turnover/miracle or just hope somehow the defense stops someone in overtime.

We don't have a prevent. We continued to do what we do. There were some kids who got out of position by alignment which is a credit to Collins in how they lined up. When Collins got down to the red zone the chess match was in the timeout with I think a minute and some change. There was still time and our Offense proved they could score quickly and we were going for two then. We told our kids to let them score. Collins anticipated this and did what they should have by inching forward and keeping the clock moving knowing we were out of timeouts.

I think he is just scratching the surface as a player and that his ceiling is very high. It will be very interesting to see what he is doing in a couple years.

Why should he? I haven’t seen him play this year but since the offseason the only thing I can associate with his name is how talented he is & needs D1 offers. However, his stats this year are pretty mediocre and while I understand it’s a team game, they didn’t overachieve this year by any stretch. He clearly has the D1 profile with his size & arm but what’s missing??

I don't think anything is missing but just getting more time and reps at the position. I don't think he is no where near a finished product. There is a school for anyone with a certain degree of talent and measurables. Now where that school is? Is the wide open question. If he gets in somewhere and works at perfecting his craft he has some potential to make huge strides over a few years. Transfer portal guys actually benefit QB's too. Get in a program. Grind everything you can out of it. If you better yourself, get a better opurtunity and want to take advantage of it, then you earned that right. Might take 3-5 years. Are there still 6-7 year players?

So they would have lost by 2 if they went for 2? Were there any defensive stops in this game?

There were indeed believe it or not.  Dixie was down 21-0 if I remember correctly. The game last night gave everyone whiplash, but it was definitely entertaining.

Yeah that was a bad question lol I forgot Dixie went down by 21. How else do you complete that come back besides a bunch of onsides. Whiplash games always entertain me. Wish Dixie would of pulled this one out.

I believe his family also hired or worked with some "recruiting expert" in some capacity, which in my experience never goes well.  Those slime balls tend to send college coaches running the other way.

Wasted money there and slime balls is a perfect term for them.

Mason will have to play the recruiting and NIL game. Forget D1. Find a school that really wants him and where he can start at QB quickly. Then get better and get success. The rest will flow from there.
